Great clean and easy to use
The toothbrush feels premium and leaves my teeth noticeably cleaner compared to regular brushes. The pressure sensor and app feedback really help improve brushing habits. Replacement heads are easy to attach, and the battery lasts long between charges. Worth the price for the quality and comfort.

Sehr gute Zahnbürste, aber die alte war mir lieber
Ich habe die Oral-B-Zahnbürste jetzt schon einige Monate im Gebrauch. Sie putzt einwandfrei, ist sehr leise (im Verhältnis zum Vorgänger) und hat die üblichen smarten Funktionen, die man so braucht oder nicht :-) Die neuen Bürstenaufsätze gefallen mir irgendwie nicht so gut wie die alten und die Zahnbürste liegt aufgrund ihrer glatten Außenfläche auch nicht mehr so stabil in der Hand wie meine alte Oral-B-Zahnbürste mit den alten/normalen Aufsatzbürsten. Was auch erwähnenswert ist, der Akku hält nicht so lange. Meine alte Bürste musste ich frühestens nach 7-10 Tagen aufladen. Die neue elektrische Oral-B-Zahnbürste muss ich alle 4-5 Tage laden. Gut, es ist ein anderer Antrieb wie früher, aber der Akku sollte bei einem neuen Gerät doch immer länger halten, wie bei dem alten. (Obwohl, wenn ich mich an die alten Nokia-Handys im Vergleich zum Smartphone erinnere). Naja egal, also an sich bin ich sehr happy und würde auch nie eine andere Zahnbürste als von Oral-B kaufen. Aber so ganz perfekt ist diese hier einfach nicht.
Die günstige iO mit allen notwendigen Programmen.
Nachdem das Akku meiner ersten, erheblich teureren iO nach rd. 4,5 Jahren den Geist aufgab, und die Zahnbürste sich beim besten Willen nicht wie vorgesehen öffnen ließ, um das Akku zu tauschen, suchte ich nach einer Nachfolgerin in einer bezahlbaren Preisregion. Wichtig war mir bei der Auswahl das Sensitiv- und das Aufhellungsprogramm, sowie ein vernünftiges Display, auf dem man den Ladezustand und das gewählte Programm ablesen kann. Eine farbliche Darstellung, wie bei den teureren Modellen, brauche ich, genauso wie sehr spezielle Programme, wie Zungenreinigung und Supersensitiv, nicht. Bei diesen Vorgaben ist die Serie 6 die günstigste Variante, die diese erfüllt. Gespart wurde gegenüber den Luxusversionen allerdings auch an der Transportschale (hier bestehet sie aus dünnem Plastik und hat auch kein integriertes Ladegerät), und dem Ladegerät, welches bei dieser Version noch nicht magnetisch ist, sondern dem, was man auch von den sehr einfachen Oral Zahnbürsten kennt, entspricht. Mit beidem kann ich problemlos leben.Fazit: Wer eine sehr gute Zahnbürste mit allen, für den normalen Bedarf relevanten Funktionen sucht, kann hier bedenkenlos zuschlagen. Lediglich wer sehr empfindliche Zähne hat, und deshalb ggf. ein Supersensitiv Programm benötigt, muss mehr Geld ausgeben.
Große Enttäuschung, zieht Bakterien förmlich an
Vorweg das Positive: Die Oral-B iO6 reinigt die Zähne wirklich hervorragend. Das Putzergebnis ist top, das Handstück fühlt sich wertig an und die Technik ist absolut zeitgemäß. Bis dahin eigentlich ein echtes Premium-Produkt.Aber was sich die Entwickler beim Design der Bürstenköpfe gedacht haben, ist mir ein absolutes Rätsel und sorgt bei mir für riesige Enttäuschung. Der Bürstenkopf ist von innen komplett hohl. Das führt dazu, dass sich während des Putzens permanent ein Gemisch aus Wasser, Speichel und Zahnpastaresten in das Innere hineinzieht.Wenn man den Kopf nach dem Putzen nicht JEDES MAL penibel abnimmt, komplett durchspült, ausklopft und getrennt trocknen lässt, bildet sich im Inneren im Handumdrehen ein richtig ekliger, dunkler Schmodder.Ich hatte vorher jahrelang eine ältere Schallzahnbürste (die Sonic Pulsar), da hatte ich solche Probleme im Leben nicht. Da steckte man den Kopf drauf und alles blieb sauber. Dass ich jetzt bei einer so teuren Hightech-Zahnbürste nach jedem Putzen erst mal den Putzlappen schwingen und das Gerät in seine Einzelteile zerlegen muss, ist im Alltag einfach nur unpraktisch. In der Bedienungsanleitung steht zwar drin, dass man das so machen soll – aber mal ehrlich: Das ist doch ein Eingeständnis einer Fehlkonstruktion. Bei diesem Preis erwarte ich Komfort und nicht mehr Arbeit im Badezimmer.**Fazit:** Putzt super, aber der tägliche Reinigungsaufwand für die Zahnbürste selbst nervt extrem. Wer keine Lust hat, nach jedem Zähneputzen die Bürste auseinanderzubauen, sollte lieber zu einem anderen System greifen. Viel Marketing bling bling und neue Technik, aber den Hauptzweck verfehlt. Schade!

Great toothbrush but consumables expensive
I bought this to replace a Braun electric toothbrush that had stopped working after 2 years. The io Ultimate brush is comfortable to hold and very powerful. I love the display and vibrating feedback the brush gives as you complete each 30 seconds of brushing. The feedback at the 2-minute mark could be a little more prominent and I often find I have brushed by teeth for 3 minutes (no bad thing I suppose). I do wonder why these toothbrush manufacturers don't also include an audible beep.When first connecting a brush head to the body, you get to choose the colour of the LED, so it makes it possible to share the toothbrush. This does mean you have to connect and switch the toothbrush on to be able to confirm who's head you have connected. With the old toothbrush you would add coloured ring, so it was easier to identify which head was yours. The LED will light up green when are providing the correct pressure and red if applying too much pressure. I do find I need to provide a lot more pressure than with my old toothbrush for the brush to confirm I am applying the correct pressure. This does mean that the heads begin to wear out a lot sooner (the picture is after only 5 weeks), and they are not cheap to replace. Braun recommends replacing the heads every 90 days. Let's hope they come down in price or they are always on offer.The guided app feedback is incredibly good, but I do find that it will take me 2 1/2 mins to 3 mins before the app indicates I have brushed all my teeth correctly no matter how diligently I follow the guide.I would still recommend this toothbrush as the feeling I get from the io Ultimate brush is far superior to the cheaper, more basic brushes in the range.
