Fedora hat with wide brim for men in black/brown, made with a narrow, dark brown leather contrast band with a narrow brass buckle. The crown has a classic teardrop fedora shape with a distinctive indent on the dome and two recesses at the front on the crown, creating a narrow point. The generous brim gently tilts down at the front and back. The inside is finished with a soft ribbon for added comfort. The hat is made from 100% wool felt and is water resistant (for example, it can withstand light showers, but we do not advise that you wear it in heavy rain showers where the felt could become soaked with water). Ein Hut mit Charme
Heute morgen zugestellt sollte eigentlich zwischen dem 20 bzw 24 Juli kommen bin sehr zufrieden Frieden passt genau sehr angenehm zu tragenWürde mich nochmals kaufen.
Perfekter Hut um den Elementen zu trotzen.
Der Hut ist mittlerweile mein täglicher Begleiter seit 5 Jahren. Die UV Strahlung hat das Schwarz auf der Oberseite ganz leicht bräunlich werden lassen aber das ist nach 5 Jahren, denke ich, okay. Lässt sich bestimmt irgendwie wieder aufhübschen. Er ist regendicht und formstabil da der Filz glücklicherweise etwas dicker ist. Schweiß der sich an der Stirn durchdrückt gibt es kaum und lässt sich auch leicht wieder abwaschen. Die Krempe dürfte etwas größer sein aber ansonsten, klare Empfehlung für alle die gerne und viel Hut aus praktischen Gründen tragen. Wer Hut aus Modegründen trägt, dem mag der Filz etwas zu dick und der Hut damit vielleicht etwas zu schwer sein. Für Handwerker, Jäger, Förster etc. die den Elementen ausgesetzt sind ist der Hut aber eine gute Wahl.

Schicker Hut
+++UPDATE+++darunterIch habe mir diesen Hut zulegen wollen, da ich sonst Basecap-Träger bin, aber mit dem Alter dann doch eher mal zu einem Hut greifen wollte.Also Kopf ausgemessen: 59,5cm... also 60 bestellt.Der Hut kam sehr schnell an, früher als angegeben. Verpackt in zwei (!) Kartons. Einer vom Händler, einer von Amazon... na gut, zumindest ohne Plastik!Aus den Kartons befreit und angefasst, war die Haptik sehr angenehm. Also aufgesetzt und... zu groß! Viel zu groß. Korkstreifen wären hilfreich gewesen, dachte ich aber nicht dran. Und entweder, ein Hut passt, oder er passt nicht.Die breite Hutkrempe schützt bestimmt gut vor Sonne und Regen. Das konnte ich also nicht testen, da ich den Hut wieder, weil zu groß, zurück schickte.Aber ich werde ihn wohl eine Nummer (warum gibt es kein 59?) kleiner bestellen.Für mich also eine Kaufempfehlung, da auch relativ preiswert.+++UPDATE+++Jetzt habe ich mir also einen neuen Hut, nur kleiner bestellt. Dieser kam sehr schnell an. Geärgert habe ich mich über den Zusteller DHL. Das Paket war teilweise auf und sogar der innere Karton war offen! Hier hat jemand hinein sehen wollen, um festzustellen, was drinnen ist. Nicht das erste Mal!Zum Hut selber. Er ist sehr trageangenehm. Nichts drückt, obwohl er eigentlich zu klein sein sollte. Die Hutkrempe ist leicht verformt durch die Lagerung im Karton. Hier wünschte ich mir einen etwas größeren Karton, oder einen Hinweis, wie man die Krempe am schnellsten wieder in Form bringt.Wie der Hut mit dem Wetter klar kommt, muss ich noch sehen. Nichts desto trotz ist der Hut empfehlenswert!
Schöner Hut
Der Hut ist gut und sauber verarbeitet, auch die Größe passt sehr gut. Normalerweise trage ich immer 59, bei diesem Hut hat man nur 58 als Auswahl oder größer, mir jedenfalls passt er in 58 super. Die Materialqualität ist ebenfalls gut, kann mit der Qualität von Stetson mithalten. Habe jedoch ein paar Modifikationen vorgenommen, siehe Bild.Eigentlich wollte ich ursprünglich lieber einen Akubra haben, aber leider ist ständig meine Größe ausverkauft, hier bin alternativ fündig geworden. Kann ihn wärmstens empfehlen. Geliefert wurde er in einen Umkarton und einen zusätzlichen festen separaten Karton, inklusive Kronenschutz aus Schaumstoff. Daher hat er die Reise unbeschadet überstanden.
Sehr schöner Hut
Schon mein dritter von B&S und passt. Die breite Kremp ist genau das, was ich daran so mag.Regen oder Sonne, kein Problem.
Genau messen ist wichtig
Der erste, einen cm größer vom Umfang als gemessene, Hut war leider deutlich zu groß also hier im Zweifel, wenn man zwischen zwei Größen liegt, die kleiner Variante wählen. Qualität ist für den Preis mehr als gut, bisher top zufrieden bei jedem Wetter. Man unterscheidet sich halt stilvoll von den üblichen Base-Cap Trägern, das aussehen des Hutes wurde auch bereits von vielen Menschen beim aufeinandertreffen gelobt
Gut "behütet"
Also, der Hut ist nicht schlecht. Sieht gut aus und man fühlt sich gut "behütet". Man sollte nur ganz genau messen, welche Größe man braucht. Ich habe das Gefühl, die Hüte fallen etwas größer aus. Noch eine Anmerkung zur Verpackung: Für einige Dinge sollte man doch einen Karton nehmen, sonst kommt nur "Geknüddel" an...

This Hat Works WONDERS!
I decided to write a review for this hat because of how much love it.I've had this hat for about a year, now (the black version) and it still holds up phenomenally!Everyday, I work with animals, at my farm, and I sweat A LOT. Not to mention, my animals are always shedding, they're always losing feathers, they're always molting, they're always jumping on my head, they're always doing what animals do...and where I live, the temperature fluctuates like crazy, too! One day, it could literally be snowing; and in the next day, it could be 90 degrees. Suffice to say that this hat has taken a beating!Even still, it is 100% the most comfortable and most durable hat that I have ever worn.I don't go through hats by the pile, however. I do my best to clean this hat, whenever I can, so that it can last a very long time - and so far, my work has paid off!In my line of work, it's handy to have a lint roller around. The hat cleans up very well (when I do clean it). I wear it about 5-6 times a week for maybe 4 hour straight. I've noticed no shrinking, not much fading of the color (only in the areas where I touch it most; and any brightening of the color could just be attributed to the powder that comes from chicken feed), and no deformities of its shape. You can really tell that this hat was made with brilliant craftsmanship - seriously. I really have to praise Borges and Scott for their hats! I will DEFINITELY buy more hats from this company, in the future.The only quirk that I have is that the hat band just doesn't look too attractive, to me.I THINK that the hat band is genuine leather, but the finish that's used on the hat band is just too shiny and makes that hat feel too "clean"...in any other occasion, the shiny hat band and 0-lint-on-the-wool look is REALLY classy. Maybe I'll buy another black hat for that very purpose, but I mainly use it for work and the ruggedness of the hat band needs to match the aesthetic of the hat.So, what I did was remove the hat band (being careful NOT to disrupt the wool by pulling the threads, which the band was sewed to), I did away with all the brass-looking hardware, and I cleaned off that shiny finish with 91% isopropyl alcohol. The finish came off just fine; but ultimately, I realized that the back of the hat band already had such a lovely and natural texture that was just wasted. I flipped it, tied it, gave the ends a cool cut...and I LOVE the way it came out!Anyways, great hat. I was gifted another one (the brown version of the same model) but the black one just feels right on my head!
