      I worked in avalanche control in Colorado and bought one over 20 years ago and wore it every single day. Back then, Mountain Hardware called it the "Monkey Man" fleece. The zipper finally gave up the ghost and I suppose I could have just gotten a new zipper but opted to get a new fleece because it performed so well for so long. I love the new one just like I loved the last one

      My second Mountain Hardware fleece. Got it again to replace one that was almost 10 years old.Was perfectly warm on my trip to the Midwest over the winter holidays in just a tshirt, this fleece, and a Black Diamond shell!

      I already own this item from when it went by a different name & was made somewhere else. I feel that the quality of this new one has gone down a bit. The cuffs are loose, no embroidered "hardwear" nut on back of collar & overall seems lighter weight. Fit is about the same, sleeves too long & they added mesh interior pockets on both sides, which is good. Very soft & it's a great color so I'm keeping it. It's not as good as it once was.
