    I like these hiking pants even more than I had expected. I was looking for some pants to hike in for sub zero temperatures. There are many options which are essentially ski pants you can wear for hiking. After some research I opted to try these Mountain Hardwear Stretchdown Pants.I like that they are light weight, soft, stretchy, and comfortable. I had a small concern that pants might even get too hot under high excursion. But, I found these pants to be comfortable in temps anywhere from +20 to -20 degrees. What I was not expecting was that I discovered that when I wear these pants in cold conditions, the rest of my body (hands, ears, nose) are far less susceptible to getting cold as well. I guess if half my blood pumps to my lower body and the pants keep it warm, my blood is warmer when it circulates in my upper body as well.Rather than being made to exact waist sizes these pants come in S, M, L, XL, XXL. I always wear a size 34 waist pant size. The size chart said I should wear the size L. I found that the size L was too tight in the waist and exchanged them for size XL which fit perfect to me.I would highly recommend these hiking pants to anyone looking for pants to wear in temperatures between +20 degrees and -20 degrees.
