    Vor einiger Zeit erzählte ich einem Kollegen, dass ich so gerne Grapefruit esse und welche Lästigkeit es sei, immer vor dem Genuss der Südfrucht die Carpellen mit einem Messerchen entlang der Membranen in auslöffelbare Stücke zu präparieren. Er hörte mir aufmerksam zu und fragte mich dann, warum ich denn keinen Grapefruitlöffel benutzte. Ich dachte, er wolle mich vergackeiern. Wer würde so etwas schon herstellen, davon hätte ich doch längst gehört! Immerhin zerlege ich seit bald einem halben Jahrhundert penibel meine Grapefruits, so wie es mein Vater und dessen Vater tat. (Falls es im Kolonialwarenhandel mal eine Grapefruit gab. Die dann vermutlich Pampelmuse hieß.) Und doch: Hier ist sie, die metallene Antwort auf eine Frage, die ich seltsamerweise nie gestellt habe: Geht das nicht viel einfacher?Die spitze Form des Löffels läßt ihn mühelos die runde Innenwand der Frucht bis zum Boden entlang gleiten, wobei der gezackte Rand das Fruchtfleisch perfekt an den Segmentgrenzen abtrennt. Dabei ist es im Mund keinstenfalls störend, erstaunlicherweise bemerkt man die Zacken gar nicht. Die Tiefe der Laffe ist dabei trotz der spitzen Form genau richtig, um den verbleibenden Saft vom dem Boden der Grapefruit zu löffeln.Einen Pizzaschneider hat fast jeder zuhause, obwohl man eine Pizza sehr gut mit dem Messer schneiden kann. Dieser Löffel hier füllt hingegen eine echte Lücke. Jede Freundin und jeder Freund der orangefarbenen Zitrusfrüchte sollte ihn in seinem Repertoire haben.

    Fungerade till trots första anblicken riktigt bra. Lite petigt kanske tänderna på kanten skulle varit lite skarpare men du hade det kanske inte fungerat lika bra när skeden väl kommer i munnen.
