The very first denim shorts. These denim shorts have been modelled on the 501 original jeans with our legendary vintage fit, a flattering high waistband and a longer crotch height. To this day, it has never gone out of fashion. And she never will.
Wie immer gewohnt hervorragende Qualität von Levi's
Ich war schon immer ein Fan von Levi's Jeans - die Verarbeitung enttäuscht auch hier wieder auf keinen Fall. Die Hose ist super hochwertig verarbeitet. Ich bin mir auch sicher, dass sie wieder mindestens 2-3 Jahre einen guten Job leisten wird. Der Stoff hat wenig Elastan Anteil, sodass sie nur wenig stretcht. Mir gefällt das immer besser, weil die Hosen dann einfach länger halten. Baumwolle ist eben doch wesentlich robuster als Elastan. Sie fällt etwas kleiner als erwartet aus, aber passte dennoch hervorragend und ich liebe den Schnitt.

501 - der absolute Klassiker, hier in Kurzform :)
Seit locker 30 Jahren liebe ich die 501 von Levi's, hatte sie aber noch nie als Shorts.Und sie sitzt genauso perfekt wie die langbeinige Schwester ;)Die 501 hat einfach nach wie vor eine super Passform! Und ich liebe diesen typischen Knopfleistenverschluss, der gehört einfach dazu, auch bei der Shorts.Ich trage regulär Gr. 42 und habe sie mir in W31 bestellt: sitzt super und genau richtig.Auch die Länge ist genau so, wie eine Shorts sein sollte, nicht zu kurz und nicht zu lang. Das Material und die Verarbeitung sind natürlich LEVI'S - also exzellent :)TOP - kann ich nur empfehlen. Eine coole Shorts, die man sehr gepflegt und edel kombinieren kann, aber auch lässig-sportlich.
Shorts - fällt größengerecht aus
Die Shorts habe ich mir in der Größe 32W bestellt, welche ich auch normalerweise trage und sie passen mir.Die Verarbeitung ist gut, alle Nähte sind grade, es stehen keine Fäden ab und ziehen sich auch keine.Vorne besitzt die Hose einen Reißverschluss, welcher sich gut auf- und zumachen lässt ohne dabei zu haken.Optisch überzeugt die Shorts durch den geraden Schnitt.Nach dem Waschen ist die Hose nicht eingegangen und hat sich auch nicht verzogen.
Great quality denim shorts with a flattering mid-thigh length
I usually wear W28 in Levi's 501 Original and 501 Cropped jeans, so I initially ordered these shorts in W28. However, after comparing different sizes, I found that W29 would have been my ideal size in this particular shorts style. I do not think these shorts necessarily run small, but I found that the fit I preferred for shorts was slightly different from my usual jeans size.For reference, I am usually a UK 10, with a waist measurement of around 72–74 cm and hips of 98 cm. I am slightly pear shaped, but Levi's generally fit me well. The W28 fits, but the W29 gives a little more comfort around the waist without looking noticeably larger when worn. A larger size such as W30 gives a more relaxed fit and may suit someone who prefers a looser waistband.The length of these shorts is excellent. They are a true mid-thigh length, which makes them much more versatile than shorter denim shorts. They feel comfortable for a wide range of occasions, from holidays and sightseeing to casual summer days, while still looking neat and easy to style.The Broken Midnight wash is beautiful: a classic medium blue denim with subtle whiskering. It is a very versatile colour that works equally well with casual tops and slightly smarter summer outfits. The wash makes these shorts easy to dress up or down.As with other Levi's denim, the fabric is quite substantial due to the 99% cotton composition. It is not a lightweight summer denim, but I personally like the structure and quality of this type of fabric. The 1% elastane adds some flexibility, although I did not find the stretch quite the same as in my Levi's jeans.Overall, these are excellent quality denim shorts with a very wearable length and a timeless wash. I would recommend paying attention to the fit you prefer in shorts rather than automatically choosing your usual Levi's jeans size.
