Make the right choice - both the material of the platform and the texture of the wheels are crucial. Find the right scooter for you, especially for your use. The right platform MDF board (= medium density fibreboard). MDF panels are wood-based materials that are made from fibrous wood and adhesive. Depending on the use, additives are processed, e.g. paraffin, to improve the swelling properties. The individual components are pressed together in the longitudinal and transverse directions to produce an even wood material. Area of application: MDF panels have a high breaking and bending strength. Under the action of moisture, the wood swells very quickly, which is why they are primarily used indoors. Due to its manufacturing method, the MDF board is the cheapest variant. plywood panel Plywood panels consist of at least three layers of wood, e.g. solid wood or veneer. In order to achieve high strength and better swelling and shrinkage behaviour (expanding or contracting), the individual layers are glued and pressed at an angle of 90°. Areas of application: plywood panels are characterised by high stability and strength and are therefore particularly durable. They are also primarily used indoors. Screen printed plate Screen printing plates (also called multiplex or MPX panels) are plywood sheets consisting of at least five equally thick layers of veneer. These are also glued and pressed at an angle of 90° to achieve high strength and better swelling and shrinkage behaviour. A phenolic resin coating on both sides and the use of waterproof glue ensure weather resistance. A non-slip surface is also created by roughening on one side. Areas of application: screen printing plates are robust and dimensionally stable and therefore also highly durable. Its water-repellent texture makes short use possible in wet conditions.
