Wirklich Top. (Achtung bei der Größe)
Ich trage die Schuhe nun bereits über 2 Jahre und bin noch immer Top zufrieden. (Kauf Nov. 2023)Super bequem. Keine Müdigkeit oder Schmerzen in den Füßen.Anfänglich war die Höhe des Fußbettes und der geringe Seitenhalt für mich ein wenig ungewohnt und ich hatte Angst bei schrägen Wegen umzuknicken - aber daran hat sich der Fuß dann doch relativ schnell gewöhnt. (und ich bin nie umgeknickt)- Haltbarkeit Top - die Schuhe haben noch immer keine Risse oder Ermüdungsstellen und nur kleinere sichtbare Beschädigungen. Und sie sind auch noch immer wasserfest! Auch die Sohle hat noch immer Profil (aber das neigt sich jetzt mittig doch schon dem Ende zu)Größe: !! ich trage normalerweise 41/42 - hier musste ich zu 43 greifen (diese sind aber tatsächlich noch immer kleiner als meine 42-er Schuhe)Davor hatte ich lange Jahre immer Salomon - da hat mich aber die kurze Haltbarkeit dazu bewegt nach einem anderen Schuh zu suchen. Diese ist hier absolut Top.
Komfortabel, gute Qualität und Passform
Wer auf großem Fuß lebt, der kennt das Problem. Welcher Hersteller von Schuhen bietet bezahlbare Schuhe in Größe 51 an. Bisher habe ich auf bekannte Marken wie Lowa oder Meindl gesetzt, aber der letzte Meindl Wanderschuh war bereits nach einem viertel Jahr reif für die Tonne (Sohle hat sich abgelöst. Ärgerlich für einen 230€ Schuh). Für viel Geld keine Qualtität bekommen.Es war also Zeit für Alternativen, wenn man sich keine Chinaschuhe kaufen möchte, die bereits nach 3 Monaten auseinanderfallen.Von Merrell hatte ich zuvor noch nichts gehört und ich versuchte es mit deren Merrell Herren Moab 3 Mid GTX Wanderstiefel. Der Schuh passt sehr gut, zwischen großem Zeh und Vorderkante Schuh ist noch Platz. Er ist bequem zu tragen und bietet guten Seitenhalt. Wau, es gibt also bezahlbare Schuhe in guter Qualität?Inwischen trage ich den Schuh täglich seit mehr als einem 1/2 Jahr bei der Arbeit und er fühlt sich gut an, lässt sich gut tragen und pflegen. Und bisher keinerlei Schäden an der Sohhle oder am Schuh feststelbar. Einfach eine tollte Qualität zu wenig. Daher habe ich mir einige Monate später ein weiteres Paar von Merrell geholt und bin auch mit diesem Schuh sehr zufrieden. Wenn der Schuh länger als 1 Jahr hält ohne das Schäden feststellbar sind, bleibe ich in Zukunft bei Merrell. So wohl ein Geheimtipp, wer gute Qualität für bezahlbare Schuhe haben möchte.
Great hiking shoes, I wear them everywhere!
This is my second time purchasing this model, and I bought them to replace my current pair (which are still functional). I've had the first pair for around 5 years, including 3 years of continuous travel, countless hikes, multiple summits, and numerous instances in which I wore them every single day for weeks on end. My current ones are still functional, but have a few splits in the outer shell, worn tread, and a faded look. I've included pictures of the worn damaged areas, but keep in mind, that's after years of hard use, hiking through mud/snow/water/sand/jagged rock/etc, often while carrying a 15-30kg backpack. As I mentioned, they are still functional, still comfortable, and actually look ok when clean, but they have clearly seen better days. Now I wear my old knees for easy treks or when I know I'll be trudging through mud, and have a fresh pair for more challenging adventures.I have wider, somewhat flat feet, so finding a comfortable pair of hiking boots took me years of trial and error, so you can imagine how thrilled I was when I finally stumbled upon these. They are comfortable to the point that I often wear them for long walks and city tours, as well as actual hikes/trekking. As mentioned before, the ones these are replacing are fine to keep wearing (and I still do), but when these went on sale I figured it was a good time to pick up a new pair, especially considering I know how reliable they are.I'd recommend these to anyone who wants a relatively lightweight, comfortable, and functional pair of hiking boots. Whether I was simply walking trails, scrambling through the underbrush, or chasing summits, these boots have never let me down.
Moab 3 mid GTX - für mich ein sehr guter Schuh
Ich hatte die Vorgängerversion, den Moab 2, schon mehrmals gekauft und bin auch mit dem Moab 3 sehr zufrieden. Ich nutze ihn hauptsächlich für Gassirunden, meist auf Waldwegen und auch im Winter. Wie andere schon erwähnten, man sollte 1 Schuhgröße größer wählen.Die Empfehlung, Schuhe aufgrund der nachlassenden Dämpfung auszumustern, variiert je nach Hersteller zwischen 450 und 800 km – und der Moab 3 bildet da leider keine Ausnahme. Bei meiner jährlichen Laufleistung (~1800 km) bräuchte ich etwa 2,5 Paar, was mir bei einem UVP von 170 EUR zu teuer ist. Daher trage ich die Schuhe länger, da die Sohle lange genug Profil hat und auf verschiedenen Untergründen griffig bleibt.Die Sohlen halten bei mir länger als vergleichbare Modelle von Adidas oder Salomon, und der textile Bereich des Schuhs ist sogar deutlich robuster als bei der Konkurrenz. Ich hatte bisher auch keine Probleme mit undichten Schuhen – allerdings imprägniere ich jeden Schuh vor dem ersten Tragen und dann alle paar Wochen erneut.Für mich ist der Moab 3 wirklich ein guter Schuh. Falls man ihn im Sale erwischt, ist das ein No-Brainer – eine klare Empfehlung von mir!Nachtrag 02/2025: Da hier ja einige schreiben das die Schuhe nach ein paar Kilometer schon kaputt sind. Hier mein aktuelles Paar. Seit Anfang November 2024 für die Gassirunden mit knapp 650 km Laufleistung. Das Profil ist noch sehr gut und auch sonst hat sich noch nichts aufgelöst.
Top Wanderschuh
Einen super Wanderschuh.Die erste Wanderung ging über 15 Kilometer, kein Zwicken oder drücken, einfach perfekt.Sehr empfehlenswert.

Fallen sehr klein aus!Ich habe normal Gr. 42,5 hier 44Sehr rutschige Sohlen! Bei Schnee und Matsch fast nicht zu gebrauchen!

The Mother Of All Boots
So I got my first hike in the Mourne Mountains Northern Ireland 26.3.23 wearing the Merrell Moab 3 Mid GTX ( which arrived 6 days earlier than the expected delivery date:) )I can safely say these boots are comfortable straight out of the box. No need to break them in. I do recommend going up a size though. They are grippy when needed and the got tested today in marshy condition and I can safely say the are 100% waterproof. I decided to stand in nearly ankle deep water for 2 mins to test this. Feet were completely dry. They have great support around the ankle and plenty of room around the toebox. The cushioning is very good indeed with great shock absorption. They really are a sturdy boot. Highly recommended.Edit...... So after nearly a year of having these boots, they are holding up very well. No leaks, still comfortable and still in one piece. Only thing I have noticed, is the grip on wet rock is not good. Very slippy so if you're considering these boots, make sure you know the terrain you will be using them on. Apart from that, all I have said in my last review stands. Awesome boot and still highly recommended.
