Ausgewogenes Futter
Unser Hund (20 kg) ist 15 Monate alt. Um vom Welpenfutter auf Normalfutter zu wechseln, habe ich einige Futtersorten an meinen Hund verfüttert und zu dem Schluss gekommen:1. Die Größe der Futterbrocken muss zur Größe des Hundes passen2. Die Anzahl der Entledigungen/Tag3. Die Farbe des Stuhlganges4. Das Fellzu 1) Bei Eukanuba für mittelgroße Rassen sind die Futterbrocken sehr klein und ähneln dem von WelpenfutterBei einem ausgewachsenen Hund (hier: 55cm Wristhöhe) sollte die Größe der Futterbrocken zum entsprechend großen Gebiss passen.Daher ist Eukaniba (oder anderes Futter) für große Rassen besser geeignet.zu 2) Die Anzahl der Stuhlgänge pro Tag sollte 3-4 nicht überschreiten, der Tierarzt nannte sogar nur 2-3.Sind es mehr als 5, dann ist davon auszugehen, dass das Futter nicht effektiv zusammengesetzt ist und zuviel Füllstoffe enthält.zu 3) Bei der Sorte Huhn ist der Stuhlgang häufig zu hell und zu weich. Das ist aber vom jeweiligen Hund abhängig, stellt aber trotzdem eine Tendenz dar. Außerdem ist die Zusammensetzung bei Lamm+Reis sehr fettarm. Sicherlich gibt es auch noch fettärmere Sorten, das will ich hier nicht bestreiten.zu 4) Es ist darauf zu achten, dass der Hund beim Futterwechsel kein Fell verliert.Bei dieser Eukanubasorte habe ich keine der o.g. Kriterien als negativ feststellen können.Was den Preis anbelangt, sollte unbedingt im Internet bestellt werden, da hier erhebliche Preisunterschiede gegenüber dem Ladenverkauf festzustellen sind. Im Laden kostet ein 12 kg Sack häufig 65,00 - 67,00 Euro, im Internet hingegen (auch Amazon) meisten so um die 40,00 - 45,00 Euro.Bezogen auf das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist diese Futtersorte von Eukanuba top, ganz klar 5 Sterne hierfür.

Eukanuba Adult Trockenfutter Lamb & Rice Large BreedWir füttern das nun schon seit 3 Jahren und sind super zufrieden .Tolles Futter guter Kotabsatz glänzendes FellDie Bewertungen die sich auf die Tierversuche beziehen sind eigentlich Schwachsinn ….Tierversuche im Futtermittel-Bereich sind nicht vergleichbar mit den Tierversuchen in der Pharmaindustrie. Bei Futter-Versuchen handelt es sich um Akzeptanzstudien oder Verdaulichkeitsstudien. “Bei Akzeptanzstudien wird lediglich getestet, wie das Futter im Vergleich zu Konkurrenzprodukten schmeckt. Bei Verdaulichkeitsuntersuchungen werden die Kotbeschaffenheit beurteilt und die Energie und der Rohnährstoffe bestimmt”, schreibt Dr. Julia Fritz, Fachtierärztin für Ernährung in ihrem Buch “Hunde barfen“. “Hierfür bekommen mindestens sechs ausgewachsene und gesunde Tiere nach einer Umstellungsphase von mindestens drei Tagen für mindestens weitere vier Tage das zu testende Futter. In dieser Zeit muss der Hund zwar einzeln gehalten werden (damit nicht z.B. einer von ihnen den Kot eines anderen frisst und damit das Untersuchungsergebnis verfälschen). Unser Hund frisst es – aber Begeisterung sieht anders aus. Der Napf wird zwar leer, aber mit Pausen und skeptischem Blick. Vielleicht ist er einfach wählerisch, vielleicht hat das Futter aber auch nicht den Wow-Faktor für seinen feinen Gaumen.Vertragen tut er es immerhin gut, keine Bauchprobleme oder komische Reaktionen. Das ist schon mal ein Plus. Der große Sack reicht auch lange, aber irgendwie riecht das Futter stärker als erwartet – beim Öffnen denkt man kurz, man steht im Tierfutterlager.Also: kein Totalausfall, aber auch kein Schwanzwedeln vor Freude.

Great food that improved my dogs health visibly
My dog loves it and I understand why: it smells amazing and fresh and you can see the result! My dogs hair became much more shiny, his skin is less itchy and seems happier and with more energy. I was surprised as I had changed from Royal Canine which was actually more expensive. Happy I switched to eukanuba and the price on Amazon is very competitive!
