All of their Solix products are easily controlled and programed via their app which is extremely well designed. This allows you to create modular solar solutions for not only camping, but also power outages. Their entire Solix modular system is literally the best engineering I’ve ever seen. Great generator, multiple uses
The generator charged quickly with the solar panels. Lasted well through a busy weekend with lite use. Easy to load on and off the car, with manageable weight. Hid well in a public setting.
know your usage and have resonable expectations
i ordered this 1 month after hurricane Melissa passed and the price dropped to $1104 (c2000 with 400W panel). i've been using it for almost a month now. from a full charge i'll start using it around 6pm, to charge my phone, use a laptop for about an hr, and turn on a few energy saving bulbs to do the necessities. by about 9pm, the estimated remaining runtime will drop to around 6 hours with just the fridge staying on(pulling ~175 watts). i'll still get about 9 more hours out of it. it keeps the fridge running as it drops to about 80watts usage during the night. and leaves enough power for me to have light to be able to see to get ready for work...the key to extending the time is to keep ice in the fridge. i have 4 8x10 bags with ice, and i keep 2 in the freezer, and 2 in the fridge. this keeps the fridge part cool during the day when there is no power. if you have the space, make more ice.as for the charging, it charges very fast on AC power. i only got 42% from the panel one day, but that may be due to the positioning of the panel. i've bought a solar extension cable so i can have the panel positioned in a better place, so i can maximize the potential of this device.for the cost, you may as well utilize it reduce your dependency on utility power. it would be nice if a 2nd panel was included in the price.
