I ordered the YCOLL Cushion Cover Set (40 x 40 cm, Olive Green) primarily to add a bit of texture and colour to my living room, and overall they do a good job as decorative cushion covers.The set comes with two cushion covers (no inserts included) and they are made from a natural linen-style fabric. The material has a slightly rustic, textured feel which works well if you're going for a modern, minimal, Scandinavian or natural interior style. The olive green colour is particularly nice – it's a muted tone rather than overly bright, which makes it easy to combine with neutral furniture or wooden decor.The covers fit a 40 x 40 cm cushion insert snugly, which is intentional according to the manufacturer. They are made slightly smaller than the insert so that the cushion appears fuller once inside. This actually works well visually and helps the cushions keep a neat, structured shape on the sofa.However, I would say these are more decorative than functional. The linen-style fabric is quite textured and slightly rough, so they are not the type of cushion I would personally use to rest my head on for long periods. They work best as accent cushions on a sofa, bed, or chair rather than comfort cushions.Another small thing to mention is that the covers had a slightly noticeable smell when first taken out of the packaging. It wasn't unusual for textile products, but I would definitely recommend washing them before first use as per the care instructions (cold wash or gentle cycle).Overall, these cushion covers are a nice decorative addition to a living space, especially if you like natural textures and earthy colours.
