Clicky... works.
Tested with my gaming PC and Steam. Works similar to an OEM Xbox 360 controller. I will admit that it "feels better in hand" than another wired controller that I also use. Of course that controller is more in line with a OEM PS4 Controller so that may be a matter of preference. Only time will tell how durable this controller will be. I will update later when it has a little more mileage.
Serviceable and Average controller that will get the job done at a fair Price….
Slightly above average XBOX style controller for your PC. Most buttons are responsive and the sticks have a tight spring back to them but the shoulder buttons are bit cheap and clicky….I presume this is where problems will first arise further down the road after some intense usage. Also the force feedback feels a bit weak as well.All in all, for the value its a passable controller that gets the job done, I just wouldn’t say it screams high quality. If your on a tight budget and need a controller, this will fit the bill
Seems sufficient but not perfect.
It was instantly recognized on my computer and thru steam I played a game but at one point for some reason it got stuck in "run" mode and I had to unplug it and plug it back in to go back to normal. Since then its been working fine. My only other Con, for it is cable length. Its right at 6' and sitting in front of my computer that is fine for, but if I were using it on something connected to my TV that would put me closer than I'd want, so a usb extension would be required. It being much cheaper than an "original" controller, makes those not such a big thing for me though.
Perfect Replacement
Now I am not going to claim to be a gamer. So, I cant speak to reaction time and latency.But as a casual gamer, this controller works as well as any other. The button are mapped to my Xbox 360 controls right out of the box. I also have a Raspberry Pi that is loaded with games. Works with that configuration as well.The joystick and buttons feel like the original. The response felt right. Maybe a little more lightweight than the original. But for a wired controller, this works just fine.
Good value.
With regards to functionality, this unit has so far performed on-part with the Microsoft "Xbox for Windows" controller that I have. Where it falls short is "the feel", primarily due to the fact that it's lighter than the OEM controller. This makes it feel slightly cheap, which is sad because the unit has been durable so far (I will update this review if this turns out not to be the case).I hope this review helps you make an informed purchasing decision!
