Sehr edel
Der Versand hat lange, sehr lange gedauert. Aber das Heft ist wunderschön und sehr wertig, sowohl der Umschlag als auch das Papier.
Disappointing quality to stitching on an otherwise well made journal
I'm a Morris's "Strawberry Thief" fan, so it's difficult to leave me disappointed with this design, but unfortunately the embroidery did just that. It's bad. Thin, chicken scratch single threads, with all the connection work that should be hidden in the back left to be seen at the front of the design. Bald connection threads, loose threads improperly tied and tucked at the ends, a lack of understanding of embroidery stitches in general. One of the bird's faces is literally half covered by a fluff of improperly ended floss. It's a shame.I don't even feel comfortable gifting this journal, it's just so shoddily embroidered, and because it's such a consistently low quality, I didn't feel comfortable asking for a replacement, but instead a return. If it had been one or two mistakes, sure, but this stitching reflects a fundamental lack of skill that I can only assume will be repeated in a replacement.Pros: the lined paper inside is a nice quality paper that seems thick enough to prevent bleed through. It may feel different from what one is used to, but I see that as a positive of handmade paper.I am a fan of handmade products which is what drew me to this journal and its hand embroidered cover. But I like handmade for the celebration of artisan craftsmanship and skill, something, unfortunately, that is lacking in the hand embroidery of this product.
