      This is a good instant meal. Nice spices, nice quality. It tastes exactly as I expected it too. .. much like Saag Panir, but with potatoes instead of cheese (which I prefer).I would order again from this company-- it's good. I shared with my husband, it was a large portion.

      I received a couple of different flavors to test, so I'll break my review down.Saag Aloo:This was actually a lot better than I expected. I've tried a fair number of ready-to-eat Indian dishes and this is the best I've had in a while. Good flavor, the potatoes are nice big chunks with a nice consistency, and it wasn't too spicy (this might be a negative for some people - I tend to order my Indian dishes mild because the places around here make it pretty spicy, and this fell into the range of what I would consider mild even though it's marked medium). Comes in a metallic pouch that you can either heat in boiling water or empty into a bowl and microwave. For convenience sake I did the microwave option - definitely cover it with something (I just used some folded paper towel) as it will spatter and make a mess if you don't. This is a single-serve portion and not huge, so you will probably want to pad it out with some rice and/or naan bread.Aloo Matar: This one was also marked Medium, but was quite a bit spicier than the above - much more in my definition of a medium level of spice! I really enjoyed this one- the sauce has a great flavor and the spiciness builds up over time. The potatoes were soft and you get a good amount of the peas. I highly recommend some bread with this one to mop up all that tasty gravy. I warmed up some grocery store garlic naan in the oven and together they made an excellent lunch.Shahi Methi Matar: This was marked Mild and it fits, not completely devoid of spice, but just the vaguest hint of heat. Did not look as appetizing as it does on the package - it's quite runny and you will definitely want to either mix this with some rice or sop up with lots of naan bread. Very greenish brown in color with a few peas thrown in (identifiable only as lumps). It definitely doesnt LOOK appealing, but tastes pretty great.Dal Tadka: This one is quite runny, but did indeed come with a big ol' chunk of whole red chili pepper as shown in the photo! I just ate it like a soup in a large bowl with some naan for dipping and it was very tasty. If you like lentil soup, you will love this. Is marked as a medium spicy, but I found it quite mild. Nice flavor and the lentils really shine.Shahi Rajma: Red beans in a tomato sauce - sort of like an Indian chili. This one is quite hearty with all the beans and very filling. Marked medium spicy and I think that's accurate - I was expecting it to be spicier than it is, but it's very pleasant and flavorful.

      Convenient and tasty instant Saag Aloo that makes for a quick lunch.

      While this instant Indian curry meal doesn't compare to authentic food at a restaurant, it's still quite nice when you're looking to satisfy a craving for Indian food, and make a quick lunch at the same time. This packet is enough to serve one or two people if eaten over rice, or with naan.This curry is mild with only a touch of heat, and has a nice salty and savory flavor that's particularly tasty if you like meals with cooked spinach. It has enough chunks of potato to give it a satisfying texture.Overall, this meal is fairly comparable to other instant Saag Aloo packets I've tried. I didn't have my mind blown, but it lived up to my expectations and satisfied my craving. The only real downside of this product is that you only receive one small packet of curry, and I feel like it could be a better deal in terms of price.
