    I will say the same as other people have said, the casing is defective. I managed to remove the bottom part and push the contents up by inserting a q-tip and pushing it up. Then there was some lip liner on the other end again to use. I did not try to sharpen the tip at all. It is too bad because the liner is very nice and smooth.

    Everyone is right, it doesn't twist up but unlike some other reviewers, my lip pencil sharpened smoothly. Do I wish it twisted up? Yes, for I don't like to waste product by shaving it away. The color is what I expected as well but my only dislike is that it's really quite dry. Its my 1st lip liner I have ever bought so maybe it's supposed to be like that to keep it from bleeding? Just don't like the feel of it.
