Shorts tore before they were worn for a few hours.They were not too small although they do fit smaller then the size. So I would say size up however, before the end of our few hours in the water park, they had a hole in on the seem of the shorts.

Short are not the typical boys swim shorts my son is used to....more like bike shorts/tights not your typical trunks. And we got size 7/8 and size is too small for him and he is just turning 7. Very disappointed!
