Ich bin total zufrieden
Ich bin absolut zufrieden. Der Eimer kam über Nacht bei mir an.Der Schaum ist herrlich. Nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich. Lässt sich sehr gut kneten und modellieren.
Plastischer Wunderwerkstoff
Der Foam Clay von Bohs ist ein wunderbar einfach zu bearbeitender Werkstoff. Nach einigen Stunden trocknet er an der Luft und nimmt eine gummiartige Konsistenz an. Daher sollte man unbedingt darauf achten, das Vorratsgefäß fest zu verschließen ("Deckel drauf" reicht nicht, man sollte die Rille oben am Behälter und die Nut am Deckel durch Aufstützen fest und luftdicht zusammendrücken). Man sollte auch die Menge Schaumton, die man für einen Arbeitsgang benötigt, sofort entnehmen - das wiederholte Kneten ergibt Riefen, die sich nur schwer wieder beseitigen lassen. Dies kann mit etwas Wasser geschehen, allerdings wird die Oberfläche dann rau und bleibt nicht mehr so glatt.Insgesamt aber zum Kneten von Kleinplastiken und zum Restaurieren ideal geeignet.

Praktisch, für meinen Geschmack aber viel zu weich und klebrig
Ich bin durch eine Bekannte mit Cosplay-Hintergrund auf den lufttrocknenden BOHS Modellierschaum gestoßen. Bei ihr findet er - zusammen mit EVA-Platten - Anwendung für fantastische Rüstungen. Beispielsweise für einen Helm mit Drachenschuppen-Optik.Privat würde ich den Modellierschaum - da ich eher aus dem Bereich Modellbau/Tabletop komme und gerne gleich möglichst exakt und genau arbeite - nicht verwenden.Ungetrocknet ist die Masse für meinen Geschmack zu weich, zu wenig fest, zu sehr an den Fingern klebend, und nicht ausreichend exakt und genau formbar. Wer exakte und scharfe Kanten erzeugen will, muss den Modellierschaum erst trocknen lassen. Dann hat er eine ähnliche Kosistenz wie harter Moosgummi und kann mit scharfen Klingen nachbearbeitet werden. Mit Scheren lässt sich der getrocknete Modellierschaum übrigens nicht glatt abschneiden. Statt einer glatten Schnittkante hat man dann nämlich eine spürbare Schnitlinie in der Schnittfläche.Da bleibe ich in Sachen Modellbau/Tabletop lieber beim direkten Zurechtschnitzen und Zurechtschleifen von Styrodurplatten und erspare mir so Zeit und Arbeit.Beruflich (in der künstlerischen Arbeit mit Jugendlichen) verwende ich den Modellierschaum als Alternative zu Ton und anderen lufttrocknenden Modelliermaßen, mit denen ich früher immer Draht-Holz-Papier-Armaturen ummantelt und ausmodelliert habe.Die Vorteile der Modelliermaße:Sie hat ein wesentlich leichteres Gewicht als Ton und Co, was selbst größere Plastiken leichter und transportabler macht.Sie trocknet über Armaturen ohne schrumpfbedingte Rissbildung aus.Getrocknet ist sie noch etwas biegsam und Details sind nicht so bruchempfindlich, wie bei Ton.Ihr Geruch wurde von den Jugendlichen durchwegs als angenehmer als der von Ton oder anderen lufttrocknenden Modelliermaßen wahrgenommen. (Besonders die Modelliermaße von DAS, beispielsweise ASIN: B082R17STY, wurde von den Jugendlichen als unangenehm im Geruch bezeichnet.)Die Verpackung im luftdicht verschließbaren Eimer und das geringe Gewicht der Modelliermaße erlaubt eine viel einfachere und praktischere Entnahme und Lagerung, als es bei den in Plastikbeuteln eingeschweißten 10kg Ton-Hubbeln der Fall ist.Dass der Modellieschaum im ungetrockneten Zustand nicht so exakt und detailliert ausmodelliert werden kann, wie Ton, störte die Jugendlichen bislang nicht. Dafür fanden sie es toll, ihn im weichen Zustand mit Filzstiften pastellig einzufärben.Für dicken bzw. massive Plastiken, bei denen es keine volumenbildende und stütztende Armaturen im Inneren gibt, würde ich aus Stabilitäts und Trocknungsgründen den Modellierschaum eher nicht verwenden.
Cool zum modellieren bestimmter Dinge.
Auf Verdacht gekauft und bin absolut positiv überrascht. Je nach Schichtdicke dauert das trocknen und das Endeesultat bleibt leicht elastisch. Ich finds prima und genau danach hab ich gesucht. Werd es wieder kaufen.

This Foam Is Definitely A Game Changer!
This air dry foam is more than fantastic! It’s absolutely incredible and it’s more than perfect for my art!It dries wonderfully, doesn’t crack, it has the perfect tacky consistency, is so very pliable and it paints up a treat!As l create monsters , beasties and other forms of art, l have stopped using my previous foams and l only use this foam now and l haven’t looked back!It gives me the perfect coverage, blends amazingly and once dry completely…. Looks beautiful especially once painted.If you’re looking for an air dry foam that even little fingers will adore, l can not highly recommend this product enough!!!!!!The bulk buy tub is awesome… it’s full and just waiting for your hand to dive in and begin creating your masterpieces.I have found that it’s best to use small amounts at a time (lessens wastefulness of thinner pieces of unwanted foam that has already began to dry and it really is best to add more as you go 😃). Just a little side note: in between uses, keep the lid on as it will preserve the longevity of the foam in the tub.Once again, l can not highly recommend this product enough…… it’s just amazing….. period!Thank you so much to the seller of this foam 😊.p.sHappy creating.
Fantastic Foam Clay
This foam clay is exceptional value for money. I was purchasing smaller packs of a different make for my fundraising projects and went through more than I would have liked.This brand comes in multiple colours and the texture is by far the best I have used. It dries as it should (i always leave things ivernight) and it is so easy to mould and work with and it's functionality is varied.I have purchased one other smaller oack so far in the brown but find i can blend other colours of the clay to make a spectrum of colours because of its quality it is workable. This size of tub is very cost effective and I purchased based a second. Im eager to make more projects for our upcoming art fundraising event so was really happy to find this seller.I will continue to purchase and would highly recommend as it is also a great one to use with the kids.
Amazing quality and easy to work with
I’m very impressed with this foam clay.The quality is excellent, the texture is smooth, non-sticky, and very easy to manipulate, which makes it ideal for detailed work. It has great moldability, allowing for precise shaping without cracking or sticking to your hands. The drying time is relatively fast, and once fully dry, the material becomes lightweight while maintaining its structure.
