    Arbeitstier und Experimentierobjekt

    Ich bin von der Gitarre sehr angenehm überrascht. Die Verarbeitung und die Einstellung ist für den Preis ausgezeichnet und sie klingt wie eine Strat (und brummt auch so). Die Gitarre ist jetzt mein Arbeitstier und mein Bastelobjekt:(1) Am Stecker löste sich nach ein paar Tagen ein Kabel. -> Wieder festgelötet, seitdem okay(2) Das Tremolo saß auf dem Korpus auf. Manche mögen das so, ich nicht. -> Ich habe alle bis auf zwei Federn entfernt. Jetzt schwebt das Tremolo und man kann Töne auch "nach oben" ziehen. Die Stimmstabilität ist gut.(3) Die "action" war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu hoch eingestellt, aber dafür schnarrte auch nichts. Ich konnte sie nur ein wenig reduzieren, dann begannen die Seiten am 7. Bund anzuschlagen (wenn der 5. oder 6. Bund gedrückt war). D.h. der 7. Bund ist eine Winzigkeit zu hoch. Da gehe ich nochmal ran.(4) Den mittleren Tonabnehmer habe ich durch einen €8,- humbucker ersetzt. Mit einer original Fender würde ich solche Experimente nie und nimmer wagen.(5) Ich habe alle Hohlräume mit Kupferfolie ausgekleidet, um das Brummen zu reduzieren. Wie von der Theorie vorhergesagt, bringt das nichts. Einen Versuch war's wert.(6) Einen "Tone" Regler habe ich zum "Blend" Pot umfunktioniert, das die Tonabnehmer 1+3 verbindet.Bis auf (1) geht es hier um Geschmacksfragen bzw. Experimente.Vielleicht ersetze ich noch die Stimm-Mechaniken. Sie leisten zwar ihren Dienst, aber fühlen sich nicht wirklich gut an.Die Gitarre ist, im Vergleich zu meiner Squier Telecaster, angenehm leicht. Der 5-wege Schalter ist so geschaltet, dass in den Positionen 2 oder 4 das Brummen weitgehend verschwindet (die Magnete des mittleren Tonabnehmers sind anderes herum gepolt, wie ich mit einem Kompass überprüft habe).

    Guitar sounds and it looks good for the price. The only problem was that there is not padding protecting the guitar inside the box and there was a dent and some paint missing when I opened the box. Here are some pictures. I was going to return it, but at the end I used nail polish to cover the dent. I can still see it but, I just wanted to start playing the guitar. The las picture shows the nail polish I used to cover the debt.

    Another excellent strat type electric guitar, this time in classic 3 color sunburst and different fretboard from the MSA Vision ST7, advertised as walnut . Pickups are the same as the ST7, but this ST5 has modern tuners as opposed to the ST7.The color is quite nice with visible wood grain. The back of the guitar is black, probably to save costs. Neck is maple with a walnut fretboard. The specs for the guitar body is advertised incorrectly; it is either poplar or basswood, both of which are fine. The guitar is fairly lightweight, due to the wood used and the small block tremolo. The guitar is equally suited for both beginners and intermediate to advanced players. Strings are OK for the price, but buy a new set of reputable brands after 2 to 3 months of use. Setup as delivered really nice! The only thing you might want to upgrade after a while is the tremolo system, e.g. a big block Wilkinson WOV01 tremolo system.This guitar is really an excellent offer, bought at an unbeatable €59!

    Genauso so wie die Squier von Fender aber um die Hälfte billiger. Mit etwas liebe und Bearbeitung und ein paar alnico Pickups aus China gut spielbar.Nur 4 Sterne, wegen „Transortschaden“ am Kopf bei den Stimmwirbeln. Stück Holz rausgebrochen. Aber nur Optisch relevant. Naja, man bekommt was man bezahlt

    Sehr schöne E-Gitarre

    Vorweg, jede Gitarre ob günstig oder teuer sollte zuerst einmal richtig eingestellt und eventuell auch gleich die Saiten getauscht werden. Meine Gitarre gefällt mir sehr gut und ist auch gut verarbeitet, wenn auch nicht alles einwandfrei ist. Griffbrett ist einwandfrei abgerichtet, keine scharfen Kanten an den Bünden und das ist entscheidend ob eine Gitarre etwas taugt. Habe die Gitarre selbst eingestellt, Halskrümmung, Seitenlage flach und Vibrato schwebend. Vibrato ist generell deaktiviert und sollte bündig zum Korpus aufliegen, daher habe ich zuerst einmal alle 6 Schrauben mit einem genau passenden Schraubenzieher nachgezogen. Hab dann das Vibrato frei schwebend eingestellt und das funktioniert so auch einwandfrei, dann noch die Seitenlage optimal eingestellt und somit ist diese Gitarre gut spielbar. Wenn dann die Tonabnehmerabstände auch noch den eigenen Empfinden klanglich gut eingestellt sind, kann man auch mit dieser Gitarre sehr zufrieden sein und auch gut damit spielen.
