We have a Maltipoo that currently weighs 2.5 kg (about 5 lbs 8 oz), and she usually wears a size S.I had really wanted to get her the pink outfit for a specific occasion, but unfortunately, the size S could not be delivered in time for the event. However, the pink sweater in a size M was available and scheduled to arrive in only two days, as were all the other color choices in a size S.So I ordered two shirts, the pink one in a size M and a size S in coffee as a backup, just in case the pink shirt would be too big.Apparently, our Maltipoo could pull off both if needed. The medium-sized pink shirt gives her more coverage toward the back (which I personally prefer) but is a little long in the legs and definitely a bit baggy on her. She has no issues walking or running in this shirt as long as she's wearing a harness over it to keep it somewhat in place, but when sitting or lying down, I did notice the sleeves coming up to her paws.The small-sized coffee-colored shirt does fit better on her. It's shorter in the sleeves, but also in the back.I guess it's all personal preference.In the pictures I posted, our Maltipoo had just gotten a haircut as well, so the pink shirt is definitely hanging more loosely on her. Plus, since she is only 8 months old, she is still growing.I do anticipate that as her hair grows back and she reaches adulthood, the pink shirt will begin to fit better. But as of right now, she remains a size S.I really hope these pictures will serve as a size reference. The color choices do look as pictured in the advertisements.Overall, I can definitely recommend this shirt as a decent buy. I do not yet have an opinion as to how well it holds up after a few washes. So far, I have only washed and dried them once, which has left them unaltered.
