Can absolutely recommend after 6 months
I have used the headset for roughly half a year now. I upgraded from a Vive cosmos.I use it for PC VR exclusively, mainly for simracing and some MR. It's really fantastic, the tracking is rock solid, the inside out cameras have sufficient quality to be usable, which definetly wasn't the case with the Vive. The image quality itself is also great, it has great lenses (pancake) and screens.Can highly recommend the Pico for this use, it's probably the best price to performance headset out there and no subscriptions required. I would only recommend switching the face cover and getting a link cable.As for the Ultra version compared to non Ultra: the main difference is the option of AV1 encode/decode for PC VR and the higher performance chipset inside the headset for standalone use. I think it's worth it, the AV1 encoding provides me consistently with a lower latency connection compared to H264/H265 while maintaining good image quality.
Ein Klasse Headset für einen guten Preis
Ich hatte vorher ein Valve Index VR Headset, und im Vergleich dazu sind die Linsen in der Pico 4 Ultra geradezu göttlich. Ist aber auch kein Wunder, weil die Teile in der Index sind wirklich schlecht.Die Pixeldichte ist auch höher. Klar kann man noch Pixel erkennen, aber man muss sich anstrengen und das Bewusst sehen wollen.Allerdings müsst ihr noch einen zusätzlichen Kauf von der Virtual Desktop App im Pico Store mit einplanen (25 Euro), denn damit geht das mit dem Wireless Desktop-VR Gaming Betrieb sehr viel besser als mit Pico's eigener Lösung.Was ich ganz gut finde, ist dass Pico einem nicht vorschreibt, welche Apps man auf dem Headset installieren kann/darf - jede Smartphone-App geht. Einfach drauf packen und installieren. Und man braucht weder ein Netzwerk, noch einen Pico-Account um das Headset einzurichten, das geht komplett ohne. Den Raum scannen und in die Cloud hochladen (so wie das bei der Quest 3 Pflicht ist) entfällt auch - ich nutze das Headset ohne dieses Gedöns und trotzdem ist das Headtracking sehr stabil und verzögerungsfrei.Allerdings braucht ihr unbedingt ein neues Polster für das Gesicht, sonst habt ihr nach 15 Minuten wirklich schlimme Abdrücke in der Haut die richtig weh tun. Ich nutze das von AMVR, gibt's auch hier auf Amazon.Ich habe mir für die Pico 4 Ultra einen neuen Wifi-Access Point mit WiFi-7 besort, nachdem mich die Ruckler im Wireless PC-VR Betrieb über Virtual Desktop in meinem schon etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Wifi-5 Netzwerk in den Wahnsinn getrieben haben.Wen's interessiert: Mit dem Zyxel NWA130BE AP funktioniert die Pico 4 Ultra absolut störungsfrei ohne Ruckler oder Aussetzer mit einer Netzwerk-Latenz von <4ms. Finde ich super und ist meiner Meinung nach genau so gut wie ein verkabeltes Headset, zumal man hier auch den AV1 Codec benutzen kann, wenn die Grafikkarte das denn enkodieren kann.Ich bin mit der Pico 4 Ultra sehr zufrieden.
Klasse MetaQuest3 Alternative in Verbindung mit PCVR. Standalone leider nicht.
Die technischen Einzelheiten und Pros und Cons kann man leicht in zahllosen Tests rausfinden. Ich bleibe hier bei der praktischen Erfahrung. Das war vorher schwerer rauszufinden.Auflösung, Tracking, Controller u.s.w. sind für mich gut. Auflösung endlich auch für Filme gut genug. Allerdings keine OLED Farben! Heller, kein sichtbares Gitter, aber schwächere Farben und Schwarz. 90Hz max (ok für mich). Sonst sehr ähnlich zu Quest3.mäßige Akku Laufzeit wie Meta auch. Aber USB-C Powerpacks mit 5000-20000mAh und 20-30W output die ausreichend gegenladen können, sind aber heute sehr günstig. Verlängern die Akkuzeit um Stunden. 8000mAh ca. 2h, je nach Modus.Übrigens Entwarnung für Brillenträger! Auch mit einer relativ breiten Brille, die in der HP ReverbG2 schon sehr grenzwertig war. Hochklapp-Headsets sind da besser als die Taucherbrillen-Varianten.Bischen hell um die Nase leider ohne 3rd party Ersatzrand. Empfiehlt sich.Die 4 Sterne sind hauptsächlich für die Benutzung als PCVR (mit gutem Gaming PC).Headset is sehr, gut, nicht perfekt aber das ist die Quest auch nicht. Dank des begrenzten VR Spiele/APP Angebot siehts für standalone Betrieb leider schlechter aus.Meine Beste PC VR Erfahrung bisher. Trotz des Streaming Umwegs bei den Standalone VR's. . Performance ist gut. UI Besser als bei RiftS (oculus) und HP reverbG2. Mit der "simplen Pico Connect" app (auf headset und am PC) verbindet sich die Pico 4 Ultra völlig problemlos mit dem PC. USB-C Link Kabel oder WLan streaming (bis Wifi7 und 6GHz!, Guter Wifi 6E router ist realistisches Minimum (Datenrate, delay)VR streaming IST ein Kompromiss, egal wie verbunden, den man minimieren muß, wo man kann. Das Kabel per USB 3.1+ ist die schnellste Verbindung, und lädt gleichzeitig das Headset. Aber reine PC Headsets die direkt an der GPU hängen (Index, Vive, Rift S), werden im PC VR Modus immer schneller sein, weil das encoden und decoden entfällt. Wenn*s auf die letzte Millisekunden ankommt, ist das ohne Alternative..Das oft empfohlene (25€) "Virtual Desktop" als deutlich mächtigere Software Alternative zur Verbindung mit dem PC hab ich bisher nicht vermisst. Visuell und beim Handling bin ich völlig zufrieden. Übrigens AV1: Pico 4 kann AV1 (gute Qualität mit deutlich niedrigerer Datenrate als H264/HVEC). Auf der PC Seite können es aber wohl nur Nvidia 40xx und Intel Ark GPU.-Wenn verbunden, öffnet sich der normale Windows Desktop als verschieb und skalierbares Fenster. Und man kann dann SteamVR starten (großer Button rechts oben) , was dann automatisch komplett übernimmt. Für die größte und günstigste Plattform für VR Spiele und software.All das funktioniert übrigens auch komplett offline UND ohne Pico account Am PC in der connect app "Gast" auswählen, und das Pico login Meckerfenster verschwindet.Selbst der Account braucht nur email, ein Login und Passwort. Keinerlei persönlichen Daten. Außer für Käufe, die ich dank Steam nicht benutze.-PICO's VR software und UI ist generell DEUTLICH einfacher, eleganter und schneller und VIEL weniger pingelig, quengelig und bevormundend als Meta! Plötzlich wird man als Erwachsener behandelt.z.B.: wenn man den VR Bereich verlässt, kriegt man kein GEH ZURÜCK popup ins Gesicht, sondern die (ordentliche) Kamera wird kommentarlos aktiviert, und man kann sich nahtlos weiterbewegen. Und wo immer man ist einen neuen schnellen Standard VR Kreis oder komplette Markierung setzenAlles fühlt sich durchdachter, flexibler und benutzerfreundlicher an.-Per Knopfdruck kann man auch im PC-VR Modus schnell temporär zum Pico UI wechseln. Selber Knopf lang, zentriert die Ansicht, egal wo man grad ist (pico, PC, steam, im Spiel...). War früher immer ein Drama. Tolle Markierung der Play Area. Einfach automatischen (skalierbarer) Kreis, wo man grad steht bestätigen oder völlig frei auf den Boden malen, auch mehrere Räume mit 3D Hindernissen u.s.w. ). In Steam, kein separates Play Area markieren mehr nötig. Steam steht auf "Grid", aka unendlich und überlässt das Thema komplett dem Headset. War mit der Oculus (Rift S)software immer super nervig.--VR Spiele standalone, ohne PC? Leider(!) ein glasklares "kauf ne Meta Quest". Nicht wegen Hardware (fast gleich) oder Software (pico besser!).Ausschliesslich wegen des begrenzten und teuren Angebots im Pico Store. Blade&Sorcery war bei mir kostenlos dabei. Gibt auch Anderes (Situation seit Launch is besser geworden!). Aber viele Sachen, wie z.B. Beat Saber (Meta Monopol) fehlen immernoch komplett. "Free"games im Store sind meist nur verkappte Demo Versionen mit Bezahlpflicht. Das ist der m.e. einizge aber große Kritikpunkt, der einem klar sein muss.Allerdings mit einer positiven Note: In der Pico dauert das Anschalten des Developer Modus nur ein paar Sekunden, wenn man weiß wie (google). Erlaubt für das sideloading (z.B. SidequestVR store, aber NUR Pico kompatible und WebXR (browser basiert) Apps und Spiele. keine der viel zahlreicheren Quest apps!)Während Meta den Dev mode (als EINZIGE Möglichkeit für sideloading) mit massiver Bürokratie nun fast unerreichbar macht. Sind Monopole nicht Super?!Für den Android store (unten) ist das nicht nötig.--Ärgerlich: kein google play store, obwohl Android Plattform. Ich benutz (seriösen!) Uptodown App store. Warum? Alle normalen "2D" UI Fenster, inklusive Bilder oder Videos (VLC!) sind frei platzier und skalierbar. 2D Android Apps sind deshalb oft flexibler, wenn man mit Fenstern in der VR Umgebung arbeitet. Und natürlich man kann andere Apps eigener Wahl benutzen (Firefox z.B.). Auch apk können installiert werden (Vorsicht)

Top Gerät. Besser als Meta Quest.
Top VR Brille! Nutze sie Standalone und mit SteamVR. Beides ohne Probleme. Läuft mit Android, lässt APKs zu und kann über die Entwickleroptionen etwas getuned werden. Die Linsen sind ein Traum und das Bild sehr hoch auflösend. Habe die Brille in Aktion im 399€ gekauft was sie auch wirklich Wert ist. Der Shop von Pico ist zwar nicht so groß was jedoch durch SteamVR wettgemacht wird. 5 Sterne von mir

Visore pazzesco e divertente. Le app sono fatte molto bene. Funziona perfettamente con YOUTUBE VR e il browser integrato si adatta perfettamente con i siti di NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME VIDEO, DISNEY+ e gli altri. Facile da imparare a usare.La visione "a fuoco" delle lenti ha una resa da effetto wow. Tuttavia, nella visione periferica la qualità di resa cala drasticamente, che però è una caratteristica di questi visori "entry-level".Eccezionale anche la resa video quando utilizzato per PCVR e comodissimo che può essere usato tramite connessione wireless e non perde di qualità. Mi sono molto divertito, ma per questo ho deciso di passare ad un visore più performante per PCVR, con tipi di lenti più performanti e molto più costosi.

Premier casque VR pour moi ( j avais déjà testé des casque pcvr avant). Le produit fonctionne bien , les décors et réalité augmenté sont très bon . En mode autonome j ai testé un des jeux offert ( blade and sorcery nomad) qui meme si moins beau que la version pc est très sympa . J ai eu quelques soucis en pcvr via steam vr car j ai la latence et la transmission est erratique , en dehors de steam vr aucun soucis , en wifi5 … je dois tester par câble . Sinon très bon produit et très léger comparé à ce que j avais testé auparavant.

Na razie wrażenia bardzo pozytywne. Łatwe połączenie z PC za pomocą darmowej aplikacji PICO Connect, kablem LINK od INIU, przy ustawieniu rozdzielczości UHD+ i 1000mbps w kodeku AVC gry steamowe wyglądają bardzo dobrze i działają bezproblemowo na rx7900xt. Z gier poza Steam testowałem przez gamepass No Man's Sky i MSFS 2024 - pierwsza działała idealnie, a do gamepassowej wersji MSFS2024 musiałem użyć Virtual Desktop, żeby prawidłowo działało.Warto dokupić nakładkę na twarz do PICO (facial interface) od AMVR, poprawia mocno wygodę i nie ma wtedy żadnego prześwitującego światła. W przypadku domyślnej nakładki od PICO musiałem sobie dociskać ją na tyle mocno, że po używaniu zostawały lekkie ślady na twarzy. Dobre dopasowanie tego elementu jest, o tyle ważne że obraz wyświetlany na samych brzegach ekranu PICO jest lekko rozmazany, a dobre dopasowanie nakładki oraz przybliżenie ekranu do twarzy minimalizuje ten efekt, przez co mamy lepszy ,,sweetspot".Jeśli chodzi o tył, to domyślny pasek jest raczej wystarczający. Połączenie nakładki na twarz AMVR z paskiem BOBOVR P4U sprawiło, że miałem wrażenie idealnego dopasowania headsetu do twarzy, natomiast warto to raczej kupić, jeśli zamierza się korzystać z okularów bezprzewodowo. Bateria 10000mAh trochę waży, tył paska trochę wystaje, przewodu ładującego od BOBO nie można odpiąć, więc będzie cały czas wisiał gdzieś z boku - w przypadku używania headsetu na siedząco, przewodowo, będzie to bardziej przeszkadzać niż pomagać.Warto jeszcze zwrócić uwagę na kontrolery, które w przeciwieństwie do Questa używają dwóch baterii, a nie jednej. W związku z tym działają dłużej na baterii, ale są też trochę cięższe. Na co dzień nie jest to odczuwalne. W przypadku gier sportowych może to kogoś trochę szybciej zmęczyć, a ktoś inny uzna, że to dobrze, bo szybciej spali kalorie.
