Anfangs schön, dann kaputt
Schöne Tiere. Alles gut in den ersten Wochen. Mein Kleinkind hat aber dauernd das Licht an- und ausgeschaltet. Dabei kam es zu einem Wackelkontakt. Wozu braucht man überhaupt den Schalter? Man kann es doch aus der Steckdose ziehen. Nach unter 3 Monaten war die Lampe unbrauchbar.
Nach kurzer Zeit defekt
Nach kurzer Zeit war das Kabel einfach aus der Lampe raus. Sie wurde nie bespielt oder so, lediglich der normale Gebrauch, ein- und ausschlachten und anheben zum putzen hat gereicht...Finde ich sehr bedenklich und gefährlich!
Neat bottle light but not as universal as I was hoping...
There were four lights included with this set, along with 4 charging cables and written instructions. The light charges quickly and lasts a while. You need to tap on the power button on top of the lamp shade to turn it on. Subsequent taps on the power button will cycle through the available colors and lighting effects, and finally turn it off.I can confirm that they fit on a standard wine bottle. However, I wanted these to go on decorative wine bottles in my Tuscan-themed dining room. Unfortunately, there's a large lip on the decorative bottles so these won't fit. I didn't take off a star for that because that was my fault; the manufacturer clearly states the diameter of the opening in the product description and I ordered these without measuring. Just don't make the same mistake I did and measure your intended bottle to ensure these will work for you.Why did I take a star off? Generally, I don't want another remote to lose, but that would be helpful with these. If these would've worked with my original intended purpose, the lights would've been out of reach to tap the power button without a chair or ladder, so a remote would've been perfect for that situation. Overall, I like them and I'll find other bottles to use them with.
Good ambiance for patio or campgrounds, but not "360"
Having lights that slip over the necks of bottles is a neat idea to mix modern with rustic -- and it also requires less space when you're storing them, because the base (a bottle) can be discarded. The single button on the top of the lamp turns the light on, cycles through the modes, and turns it off. It is touch-sensitive, rather than an actual push-button. The light comes out the top and the bottom, which is good for up-close lighting on a table while eating, or for ambient lighting on the patio or while camping, but I don't consider the light to be "360 degrees" like the listing states, since no light actually comes out of the "lampshade" part -- it just comes out the top and the bottom. So don't expect it to illuminate a whole room or an area, since the light is directed upward and downward only. But they do look nice, and you can pick a couple different temperatures (shades) for white light, as well as several solid colors and rotating modes. They can be charged via USB, and cables are included (but without the "transformer" box, so you will either need to provide your own from a cell phone, or use an outlet that has USB plugs on it). These will be nice for mood lighting on our patio or when using the RV.
Nice wine bottle lamp set, but check the size first
I recently picked up this set of four USB-C rechargeable LED lamps designed to sit atop wine bottles, transforming them into stylish lamps. A single box contained a generous amount of form fitting foam packaging to protect the 4 lamps from damage. A separate charging cable is provided for each lamp which is more than necessary since the lamps do not always need to be plugged in, but still welcome. No wall plug chargers are provided but that is fine. Instructions are also provided, though not necessary to understand how to use the lamps. The lamps themselves charge quickly and maintain their glow for an impressively long time. The light from the lamp projects both upward and down, but not outward. Activating and cycling through the various colors including three different white colors is easy with a touch on the top and includes two color changing effects – one is fade between colors and the other is a fun constantly shifting rainbow color display.The fit on most wine bottles is good and leaves just a slight bit of wobble on some which is understandable given that it needs to fit bottles of different sizes. You may be able to use a rubber band around the wine bottle neck or other material to help reduce the wobble. Unfortunately, on many liquor bottles this (small size shade) will be too small and on the wine bottle I was most interested in using for this it had a lip which was too wide for the shade to fit on. Some of the wine bottles I have with a less pronounced lip still fit fine. I should have measured beforehand and ordered the medium size shade, but I am still able to make use of these on other bottles.These lamps are not bright enough to light a room, they are more useful as ambiance/decorative pieces or perhaps as a night light. Overall I’m happy with these and especially if you have a unique looking bottle to place these on they can make for some great mood and conversation pieces. Just make sure to get the right size for the bottle(s) you want to fit this on.
Cute and fun
You can put them on a wine bottle...but we think it's fun to just use them as little lamps.The listing depicts them accurately. You get 4 in the box, along with 4 USB cords (USB-C on the lamp end, and USB-A on the charger end). You need some sort of USB-A to plug them in to for charging. It took roughly an hour to charge one from empty to full.You can choose red, green, blue, three shades of white, and two color-change modes. My wife loved one of the changing modes, so we set it to that and it took over 4.5 hours to completely discharge. You can change the brightness of the whites. They are bright enough to read by, though you have to be close and it can be hard to position them appropriately. Huh, I guess maybe that's where putting them on a wine bottle can help. They only fit on some of our bottles, but I don't think they are required to fit on every bottle to serve their purpose so I won't take off points for that.I'm not sure we needed these; but they are fun and when it warms up outside and we have friends over I am sure we will use them. My wife will also take them on her "glamping" trip with friends in the summer. They could also be nightlights (that turn themselves off when empty - or, leave them plugged in) or for use during power outages. The colors can be good for holiday or party moods.Having to cycle through all the modes to get them to turn them off is the only thing I'm not fond of, and even that is pretty minor.
Very good decorative lamp that is not a regular table lamp.
I was under the impression that this was going to be a regular table lamp, like the ones I have on counters and desks. When I first tried it, I found that it is not nearly as bright a light as a regular table lamp so I thought that was that-not good. However given that it dims, changes colors, and has a couple of light mixing routines built in, I found that I liked it a lot-Not for reading or working but for creating a pleasant working or relaxing environment. So I used it a lot as a secondary light. Then I found uses for it to light up small spaces where the visual interaction was not complex. I now have them in a variety of locations around my living space and use them frequently. The rating of 4 is because it did not function as a normal useful desk or table lamp as I expected from its description. But it would have been higher if I were looking for a decorative light.
