The Perfect First Backpack! We're Impressed.

We bought the deuter Pico for our 4-year-old to use for kindergarten, and after a full semester of use, we are absolutely thrilled with it. It has held up perfectly and is brilliantly designed for small children.What We Love:· Perfect Size for Toddlers/Preschoolers: The 5-liter capacity is ideal. It's large enough to fit a lunch box, a small water bottle, and a change of clothes, but not so big that it overwhelms a small child. It looks proportional on their back.· Ergonomic and Comfortable: The contoured, padded shoulder straps are the standout feature. They are perfectly sized for little shoulders and don't dig in. The chest strap is a game-changer—it keeps the pack secure without being complicated, and my child can easily snap it on and off themselves.· Durable and High-Quality: This is a deuter product through and through. The materials feel robust and the zippers are smooth and sturdy. After months of being tossed around, dragged, and packed full, it still looks brand new. It's clearly built to last through multiple children.· Easy for Kids to Use: The single main compartment is simple. There's no confusion for a young child—they just open the one zipper and everything is inside. The zipper pulls are large and easy for little hands to grasp.· Great Design & Visibility: The bright colors are fun for kids and make them easy to spot on a busy playground. The reflective details are a nice touch for added safety on darker mornings or evenings.Minor Considerations:· No Water Bottle Holder: This is the one feature we sometimes miss. The water bottle has to go inside the main compartment. It's not a deal-breaker for us, but it's something to be aware of. We just use a leak-proof bottle.· Price Point: It's more expensive than some generic character backpacks, but you are absolutely paying for deuter's quality, ergonomics, and durability. Wirklich schöner und kleiner Rucksack! Die Farben sind schön kräftig und das Motiv ist hochwertig. Der Rucksack passt unserer 1,5 jährigen Tochter schon gut. Er lässt sich super einstellen und ist an den Schultergurten ausreichend gepolstert.

Der Deuter Kind Pico Kinderrucksack ist ideal für kleine Kinder! Er ist nicht nur super praktisch, sondern auch sehr bequem und leicht zu tragen. Die Größe ist perfekt für kleine Ausflüge und bietet genug Platz für die wichtigsten Dinge. Das Design ist ansprechend, und die Qualität von Deuter ist wie immer hervorragend. Mein Kind liebt den Rucksack und trägt ihn gerne! Absolute Kaufempfehlung für aktive Kinder.

wirklich super, Rucksack macht einen von Deute gewohnt guten Eindruck.Für die ganz kleinen Braucht es ja in der KITA nicht viel. Brotbox passt super rein und vielleicht das ein oder andere Kleidungsstück, Lätzchen, o.ä. , mehr allerdings auch nicht.

Wir haben uns aufgrund der sehr guten Bewertung bei der Stiftung Warentest für diesen Kindergartenrucksack entschieden und waren zunächst begeistert. Der Rucksack überzeugt durch seine ergonomische Form, die perfekt auf den kleinen Kinderrücken abgestimmt ist. Auch die Verarbeitungsqualität ist hervorragend – robustes Material und solide Nähte versprechen eine lange Haltbarkeit.Allerdings hat sich der Rucksack im Alltag unseres Kindergartens als nicht ganz ideal herausgestellt. Die Füllmenge ist für unseren Bedarf zu gering: Wenn die Jausenbox und die Trinkflasche im Hauptfach verstaut sind, ist der Rucksack bereits voll. Leider passt die Trinkflasche auch nicht in die Außentaschen, was unpraktisch ist. Außerdem ist die obere Öffnung des Rucksacks relativ schmal, was es meinem Kind schwer macht, eigenständig Sachen ein- und auszuräumen.Da bei uns im Kindergarten viel Zeit im Freien verbracht wird, reicht der Platz im Rucksack nicht aus, um zusätzlich eine Jacke oder Mütze zu verstauen – diese muss mein Kind dann extra tragen.Fazit: Für private Ausflüge und Wanderungen nutzen wir den Rucksack sehr gerne, aber für den Kindergartenalltag haben wir uns letztlich für ein größeres Modell entschieden.

Small main compartment pocket but great quality

Very small pocket to keep stuff. Mostly the design part. Hard to keep slightly bigger boards/games which otherwise would fit the bag. Just a personal choice as it did not serve our purpose.Material and quality is great.

A Great First Backpack. Perfect For A Two-Year-Old.

This Deuter Pico 5L backpack is perfect for a two-year-old.The size and fit are great. It’s not oversized like many backpacks marketed for young children and toddlers. It also adds a cuteness factor. Many people stop and tell us how adorable our daughter is when wearing it.The material is durable, and easy to clean. It holds up well in the rain, and dirt. It wipes clean, and shows almost no wear after 6 months of nearly daily use. We have taken everywhere from parks to camping, to daily trips around town.The zippers are YKK zippers. This was an important factor in our purchase as we wanted a product that we could trust to last.The main backpack space is adequate, and allows for nearly all common uses. Sometimes we use it as a diaper bag and it holds plenty of diapers, wipes, and even snacks/toys. The zippered opening may feel slightly restrictive for some larger items as it only zips open to the elastic side pockets, but it’s by no means a deal breaker.The elastic side pockets are a bit on the small side. They are not great for most water bottles and a very snug fit. For reference, they will fit a standard 12oz can.The back of the bag is padded and breathable, as are the straps. The straps also have a chest strap that will help ensure the backpack stays on your child. This was another big factor for us in our hunt for the perfect bag.It has a hanging loop to easily store it at school or home, and a label inside the bag to write your child’s name.The design illustrations are cute and friendly, and come in different colors. We didn’t want something branded, so this was perfect.Overall, the value and quality of this backpack is worth the cost of $30. It is built to last, has quality material and zippers, and is the perfect size for a two-year-old.

Cuesta encontrar mochilas pequeñas que estén bien estructuradas, es decir, con buen refuerzo en espalda, tirantes regorzados y cierre en el pecho para que no se les caigan. Esta mochila tiene todo eso. Es bastante pequeña pero es lo que buscaba, al cole con 3 años solo lleva la botella de agua y unos pañuelos. Asi que muy contentos con la mochila. Además al niño le encantan los monos y los colores.
