    Gut als Midi-Controller

    Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Midi-Controller mit großen Pads, mit dem ich EZ-Drummer steuern kann. Das funktioniert super - Gerät wird als generisches Midi-Gerät erkannt und das mapping stimmt EZ-Drummer überein. Ich selbst habe die Velocity-Kurve noch etwas abgesenkt, dadurch entsteht ein sehr brauchbares Spielgefühl. Meine Zwecke erfüllt es insofern.Die voreingestellten Sounds sind entsprechend der Preisklasse, die Bluetooth-Funktion habe ich nicht getestet. Die Boxen geben permanent leises rauschen, liefern aber akzeptablen Klang. Die Pedale funktionieren, sind aber nichts besonderes und sollten mit Bedacht bedient werden.Schade finde ich, dass ich für die Nutzung als Midi-Controller immer 2 Pads doppelt belegt haben muss - es lässt sich meines Wissens keine explizite Midi-Note pro Pad einstellen, lediglich die Auswahl zwischen HiHat, Toms 1-3, Snare, Kick, Crash 1/2, Ride. So lässt sich zwar auch ohne Pedal die Kick per Stick spielen, mit Kick-Pedal ist 1 Pad damit aber unnötig belegt. Ich belege daher 2 Pads mit der Snare, dadurch lassen sich zumindest komfortable Rolls spielen.Wer damit leben kann, erhält einen netten Midi-Controller mit großen Pads - Kids erhalten wahrscheinlich eine spaßige Lärmmaschine um die Eltern zu stressen. ;)

    This thing is really cool! I'm a drummer and like to record music via my full-size electric drum kit but sometimes I just can't deal with the hassle. This is actually a pretty decent secondary option - and the best part is I can use it in bed and stay warm while making music and practicing.What I like:It was actually plug and play. I just connected it to my Macbook - maybe I had to switch the input, I don't remember exactly - and it just worked, also with GarageBand. I didn't try it on my Windows laptop with Addictive Drums but can reasonably assume it works the same way.The pads have decent rebound. I could get a good drumroll going with the sticks provided.There are enough pads to be satisfactory.With one exception, it's quite sturdy. I accidentally hit the circular knob with a stick and the knob popped off. Thankfully it went back on okay but I wasn't hitting very hard. Something to watch out for in terms of the width of the playing field and button locations.If you're not using other programs/apps/soundpacks: the sounds the pad comes with are... well, they're okay. Good enough for a beginner.I found the control panel to be a little confusing but figured it out.Overall I found this very useful. Also pretty comfortable for using on my lap.

    Funktioniert gut. Lässt unterschiedliche Klänge für die Trommeln und Becken einstellen. Für mich als Einsteiger echt genial um festzustellen ob ein Schlagzeig twas für mich wäre.

    Eigentlich hatte ich hier eher Spielzeug erwartet, auch da das die Produktfotos primär vermitteln. Und klar, als Einsteiger-Set und für Kinder ist dieses Kit auf jeden Fall sehr gut geeignet. Denn dafür ist es auch recht robust gebaut und sehr einfach zu bedienen.Im Standalone-Betrieb, welcher dank des eingebauten Akkus und Lautsprechers, keinerlei weiteres Zubehör benötigt, bleibt der Funktionsumfang zwar rudimentär, gerade bei den Sounds könnte man sich sicher noch etwas mehr Abwechslung wünschen, aber sinnvoll und ohne wichtiges zu vergessen. Immerhin kommt man somit, auch ohne Bedienungsanleitung, sehr schnell mit dem Gerät klar. Schnell mal üben geht hiermit hervorragend, der Anfänger darf auch gern die Kopfhörer anschließen.Die Pads würde ich als gelungen und überraschend hochwertig bezeichnen, sie sind zumindest robust und lassen bereits etwas Artikulation zu. Natürlich spielen hier Profi-Kits noch einmal auf einem anderen Level, aber wer günstigere Midi-Controller mit integrierten Drum-Pads kennt, könnte hier, nicht nur angesichts der Größe der Pads, positiv überrascht werden.Die beiden Pedals hingegen sind vielleicht am ehesten die schwächste Stelle des Sets, und sollten etwas behutsamer behandelt werden, damit sie lange Leben. Es ist eben primär Plastik, leicht und mit dünnem Kabel. Sie in Position zu bringen, und vor allem zu behalten, ist gar nicht so leicht, denn sie verrutschen gern einmal.Am besten gefällt die Möglichkeit das Kit per Midi mit dem Computer zu verbinden und somit nicht nur vernünftiges Recording betreiben zu können, sondern auch Zugriff auf ganz andere Klangdimensionen zu erhalten. Überleben die Pedals bis der Nachwuchs diesen Level erreicht hat, kann man an diesem Kit sehr lange seine Freude haben.Ich bin tatsächlich sehr positiv überrascht angesichts des Preis-/Leistungsverhältnisses.

    Das Gerät kam ohne die typische AMAZON Verpackung, so das jeder sehen konnte was ich mir wieder für ein Spielkram bestellt hatte, zudem war der Karton auch noch offen Das Gerät selbst macht einen wertigen Eindruck, nur die Fußpedalen sind etwas spartanisch. Die eigentlichen Pads (9 Stück ) sind mit einen Gummi überzogen und sind sehr anfällig für Staub oder sonstige umherfliegende Teilchen und schwer zu reinigen. Wer noch nie den Klang eines echten Schlagzeug gehört hat, ist mit diesem Gerät gut bedient. Bedienungsanweisung nur in englisch.
