    Da unsere Igelpopulation auf Abwechslung besteht, muss es neben Rühr-Ei, Protein-Nass- und -Trockenfutter sowie Mehlwürmern auch mal was anderes sein. Hier kommt die UGF-Mischung mit schlanken Mehrwürmern, kräftigen Soldatenfliegenlarven, bulligen Seidenraupen und feinen Gammarus-Garnelen ganz recht.Die Mischung ist recht homogen und hat wenig Bruch, so dass diese auch für Vögel gut geeignet ist.Die Qualität ist - wie von UGF gewohnt - hervorragend, lediglich das Preis/Mengen-Verhältnis ist etwas zu ambitioniert. Wenn diese Probiergröße als gut bewertet wird, kann man ja immer noch auf den 3-Liter-Eimer (ASIN B0F4R8PJN8 Klick ) ausweichen.

    Hochwertige Insektenmischung

    Die Insektenmischung kam gut verpackt in einem kleinen, transparenten Eimer bei mir an. Das Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum lag noch über 2 Jahre in der Zukunft. Der kleine Eimer hat einen Sicherheitsverschluß, den man erst rausbrechen muß, um den Deckel zu öffnen. So kann man sicher sein, daß er noch nicht geöffnet wurde (siehe Bild 1).Der Inhalt besteht aus 80g (=500ml) getrockneten Insektenlarven: Mehlwürmer, Soldatenfliegen, Seidenraupen und Gammarus. Eine leckere Mischung für Reptilien, wie bspw. Schildkröten oder Leguane, aber auch für viele andere Tiere. Die Qualität ist sehr gut. Überwiegend ganze Tierlarven und -würmer, also nicht zerbrochen und auch fast keinen Insektenstaub (etwas ist immer dabei, das ist bei solchen Mischungen ganz normal).Nun zum eigentlichen Test: In meinem Naturgarten befinden sich nicht nur viele Pflanzen, sondern auch einige freilaufende Hühner, welche getrocknete Mehlwürmer oft und gerne als besonderen Snack zwischendurch essen. Als ich den Garten betrat, kamen sie wie immer angelaufen und begannen sofort die getrockneten Insekten zu picken. Siehe Fotos 3 und 4. Die Würmer (Mehlwürmer und Soldatenfliegenlarven) und die Gammarus waren blitzschnell alle weg. Mit den getrockneten Seidenraupenlarven, welche etwas dicker und fester sind, hatten meine Hühner leichte Probleme (Hühner haben ja keine Zähne) und haben deswegen einige wenige liegen gelassen. Aber vom Rest waren sie begeistert !Der Preis für das kleine Eimerchen mit 80 Gramm Inhalt ist recht hoch, aber die sehr gute Qualität rechtfertigt diesen Preis. Typischerweise werden damit natürlich keine Hühner gefüttert, für die kauft man die getrockneten Larven besser in einer größeren Einheit im Markt, aber gerade für Besitzer von kleinen Terrarien ist die Menge ideal. Und durch die vier verschiedenen Insektensorten auch sehr vielseitig.Das Produkt bekommt deswegen und aufgrund der guten Qualität von mir eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.
