A beautiful instrument with a beautiful sound
I looked all over for one of these, my son heard the sound of one in a game, and just had to have one, and everywhere I looked it either didn't exist, or was outrageously priced. Thank you so much for selling this item, and for being affordable for a mom on a budget!! It is even better than pictured or described. Excellent craftsmanship, well made, great detail, and functions great. If you've never played a wind instrument it could take some getting used to, particularly the mouth part, as it's different.Once you get that part down its just a matter of practice. My son is very quick at figuring things out, and after a short tutorial he looked up( doesn't come with instructions, but with a small slip of paper that labels the different holes), and a little practice, he picked it up pretty quick. It has a very beautiful sound, and I definitely recommend.
Showpiece only, not fit for playing.
The instrument itself is very attractive, but the mouthpiece is not cut properly for playing.This is a showpiece, if anything.
First Shakuhachi Flute
The shakuhachi is beautiful an well made. Got it three days earlier than expected. It arrived in perfect condition despite, (the box it came in was warped in paper padding in a large box.) The characters on the mouthpiece (according to Google Translate is a poem by Li Bai – "A Gift to Wang Lun.") Which I thought was interesting. Haven't gotten a note out yet.
Great instrument. Worth the money invested.
It is a beautiful instrument.No problems with the product in general. The only issue is that the seller is claiming to be selling 1,8 shakuhachi but it is actually 1.7.
Awesome, Beautiful Instrument!
This Sakuhachi is absolutely amazing, just in general, ESPECIALLY for the price though! I was able to get a note out of it within 2 minutes of opening the box. It is very well made material and build quality wise, and sounds great. After playing for only a couple of hours, I was able to achieve a scale on it, as well as the scale on a higher octave ( meaning it is very much so a playable instrument. ) I am very happy with my Shakuhachi and am excited to learn!
