Also mein Hund hat irgendwann beschlossen, dass wirklich ALLES angebellt werden muss… Blätter, Geräusche, vermutlich auch unsichtbare Dinge. This works a treat
I try loads of different methods when it comes to barking training and I find that ultrasonic devices work the best. Especially on rescue dogs. I guess probably because it's a very humane way of going about things. There's no pain and no obvious human intervention from the dog's perspective so I think it's a great way of training whilst building trust at the same time. This QueenMew ultrasonic trainer is a perfect example. This one is pocket sized and portable. I use a slightly larger signal unit in the house and another in the garden and they work a treat so it's a brand i've grown to trust ahead of picking this on up. This particular model is being used while out on walks to train dogs in situations where other dogs get a bit too close for comfort and the barking looks to start... The results are really good. There's still work to do but you notice straight away that the impulse to bark is being questioned and that switch in impulse accompanied by some treats or a run around with a tennis ball for positive reinforcement works miracles!
