Für die Arbeit auf der Hubarbeitsbühne gekauft. Macht qualitativ hochwertigen Eindruck, mit zwei Karabinern zum einklinken. Passt mir mit 2m Körpergröße.
Sicherheit bei Arbeiten in der Höhe
Macht einen sehr stabilen, professionellen Eindruck. Die Verbinder sind aus massiven, verzinktem Stahlblech gefertigt. Absturzsicherung hat eine Falldämpfung, so dass der Anschlag abgefedert wird. Freue mich auf einen ersten Einsatz auf dem Dach mit einer Absicherung.

Das Gewicht ist spürbar. Sonst einfach anzulegen und anzupassen.

A well built and certified fall protection system; shame about the leg straps
This harness, and its associated tether, are extremely well made from wide nylon webbing and stitching that is very reassuring. So it should be of course as both the harness, and the energy absorbing tether are CE marked. The double action safety hooks on the tether have their own CE mark.The tether consists, first, of wraps of energy absorbing webbing, referred to as a "buffer bag" connected, at one end to a locking carabiner. At the end of the "buffer bag"are two double braid polyester ropes each terminating in a double action safety hook. The overall length from carabiner to either of the safety hooks is 1.8 metres. The buffer bag is marked as 1.8 metres and the web page refers to the buffer bag as being suitable for distances over 5 metres. For distance I am assuming "drop".UK HSE and industry data is not fine grained about falls from low heights, ie less than 5 metres (about the height of a two story house, or up a fairly normal tree, but does note that fatalities do occur. Injuries from 2 metres tend to damage head and limbs while above this there are added spinal injuries. For these lower heights the carabiner could better be moved directly to the ropes.The harness is comfortable to wear when the feet are have support. Otherwise, although the waist belt is nicely padded the leg straps are not. If one sits in the harness the plain webbing of the leg straps can quickly lead to painful pressure on the back of the thighs and around the groin. This is made worse because while the rest of the harness is simple and quick to adjust the leg straps are anything but. Without constant donning and redonning I found it impossible to adjust them correctly. They will need readjusting every time different thicknesses of clothing are worn. A friend who does not mind getting personal is the ideal. I shall be experimenting with some foam padding.In summary, an excellent fall protection system which should satisfy both HSE and insurers while being less costly than many. My only reservation is those leg straps but I still consider this a five star product.
