    I recently picked up the TIRTIR Matcha cleanser, toner, and calming cream and clearly I’m on a matcha kick, because I even treated myself to a matcha drink to match. I’m genuinely obsessed. These products feel amazing on my skin and have been working so well for me. I’ve been telling all my fellow matcha and skincare lovers about them too.     I hadn't head of TIRTIR, but like K-Beauty.Apparently the brand is already popular in Japan, and starting to catch on in the West, but still chiefly known here for its cushion foundations, which went viral on social media.The brand focuses on gentle products for problem skin, and the avoidance of unnecessary ingredients which may trigger sensitivity.I did wonder from the targeting of social media, and some of the other reviews, whether it's aimed at younger people.I'm nearing 60, but still get breakouts amongst the wrinkles, and even have what might be the beginnings of rosacea.This cleanser, along with other products in the range, was beautifully presented. Like rival Erborian, the anti-redness range is green-themed, both in the packaging, and the colour of the products themselves. Both the outer box and the screw-top tube came with hygiene seals.Green isn't always the most appealing colour to put on your face, but I do understand the inspiration. Obviously here, it reflects the matcha or green tea ingredient; green tea has long been valued for its health benefits. Also green is the opposite of red, suggesting soothing and healing. And finally it's suggestive of the natural world. TIRTIR is not ALL natural, but does use a lot of plant-based ingredients.It's like a gel, but opaque and creamy, not clear - hence "gelato", presumably. It contains small exfoliating granules. From the ingredients list, I think these must be sweet almond shells.It lathers a LOT - almost too much - meaning it can be difficult to rinse. On the plus side, you only need a very small amount, so it should last a long time.I've been using it in conjunction with matching products from the range for a few days, and am not sure of any visible improvements to my skin yet. However, it does feel very soft.
