Came In Handy For the BBQ, Thawing Chicken, Will Be Clutch For the Holidays
I got this warming mat with the holidays in mind. It's going to coming clutch for Thanksgiving at Christmas dinner, because no matter how hard I try to time everything perfectly, something or multiple things end up taking a little bit longer, and food gets cold. I wasn't 100% sure what I was going to do with it in the meantime, But I had planned and had a barbecue with some friends, and it's usefulness really shined. Among other things I made a ton of wings and two different dips, spinach artichoke and buffalo dip. The mat kept the dips in the wings warm throughout the whole bbq. Beforehand, I tested it out. Super easy to use, plug it in, adjust the temp, good to go. I tested with my hand the various temperatures, and everything worked as it should. Also last night I made chicken thighs, and they were frozen. It dawned on me that I could use this to thaw them out faster. It worked great, with none of that gross par-cooking you get when you try to microwave defrost chicken. As far as size and storage, its really not too big or too small for use, and it rolls up as you'd expect it to so it doesn't take up too much room in one of my kitchen cabinets. This isn't something that was ever on my radar before, but now that I have it, I really like it, and I'm going to use it a lot more often.
