Comfortable, lightweight top
This vest is made of a very lightweight material - 95% polyester and 5% spandex. Holding up to the light you can see through the material so it is going to be a nice vest for summer wear.The vest is plain black and has a ribbed edging around the neckline and arm holes. This ribbed material is approximately 1.5cm wide and adds a subtle something to the otherwise plain top. The bottom of the vest is not decorated with the same trim, it is just the material of the body of the vest hemmed.The seams down the sides of the vest are well made and finished, the seams at the shoulders have a twist and, on one side, where the trim of the neck is joined, there is quite a thick bit of material. I did not find this to be uncomfortable, but some may.This vest has the following washing instructions: Wash at 40 Celsius, do not bleach, medium iron and you can dry clean with any solvent other than trichloroethylene.I washed the vest at 40 Celsius and hung it to air dry. It dried very quickly - just an hour or so on the clothes horse. I don’t think the vest needs any ironing. The surface of the vest has developed a little pilling after just one wash.The vest is comfortable and has a relaxed fit with quite a high neck - the lightweight material and quick drying makes it perfect for summer wear.
A nice simple top for the home
I secured this top for my better half, as she has long favoured such sleeveless attire for the private hours spent within the sanctuary of the home. It arrived encased in a most resolute sealed bag, ensuring that neither damp nor any unholy odours might compromise its integrity; upon opening, I was delighted to find it possessed none of those unpleasant scents that so often haunt the world of modern apparel.The fabric is a judicious blend of ninety-five percent polyester and five percent elastane, a composition that feels remarkably agreeable to the touch, with the ribbed detailing providing a bit of texture to what might otherwise be a plain and unadorned surface. It is both soft and breathable, a most necessary virtue for the lady of the house. The neckline is a simple crew neck style, executed with a stitching of commendable quality to the collar; indeed, the sleeves and the hem are equally well-sewn, suggesting a certain architectural integrity that is quite as respectable as a well-turned phrase.The top appears to be fashioned with a thorough attention to detail, for I have encountered no weird stitching nor any of those distressing sizing issues that can render a lady quite out of sorts with her reflection. Following a necessary excursion through the washing machine to banish any lingering manufacturing chemicals, the garment emerged entirely unimpaired, suffering neither from shrinking nor from any unseemly distortion of its character. It is a triumph of the linen press that ensures one remains as comfortable as a philosopher in his study, while maintaining a most commendable composure.
Gappy Armpits
The top seems well made with no poor stitching, except that the armpit area is very gappy. It shows quite a lot of my bra at the sides when worn. Other than that, it has a nice thickness of fabric and a relaxed fit, coming down over the hips. I would say that it is true to size. It is made from 95% polyester and 5% spandex. Unfortunately, I will not wear it due to the armpit area but it is possible that someone with a different shaped figure may not find it bad.
