This is a nice little mirror with both a 10X magnifier and a plain flat side. It's pocketable and light-weight at only about 4 inches in diameter and 4.6 ounces. It's designed to be tucked easily away and it folds to protect the mirror surfaces and the power button, preventing inadvertent battery depletion. Note that it is not waterproof and the mirrors are glass, so it's not suitable for the shower. It would be nice if there were a finger detent or two to make opening the slippery mirror easier for someone with limited dexterity.The light comes on when the mirror is opened and it turns off after 15 minutes or when the mirror is closed. The light is controlled by a single touch-sensitive button on the flat mirror face. A tap cycles through the three colors: Natural Daylight, Neutral White, and Soft White ("free of blue light"); holding it down runs the brightness up or down, and a double tap turns the light off. When you turn it on, the light remembers its last setting.Both the flat and magnifying mirror produce bright, clear images with no obvious distortion. The light is reasonably bright but it's only around the flat mirror, so there are shadows when using the magnifying mirror. As with any magnifying mirror, you must be fairly close for the image to be in focus.The user guide is surprisingly extensive for a mirror. A "Here to Help!" card promises a 12-month warranty and provides a phone number, email address, and live online chat URL for support. Note that the model is the "Mini Taylor" if you need to identify it to the support person.There is no information about battery capacity, but the user guide says it's designed to last "up to 8 hours with a full charge" presumably at the lowest light level. There is no battery charge status indicator except a small LED next to USB-C charging plug; it's red while charging and changes to green when fully charged but still plugged in. I fully charged the battery and then ran it down until it would not stay on more than a minute or two. I had it set at max brightness, but I lost track of how many times I restarted the 15-minute timer. It was probably 10 or more times, so the light ran for a at least a couple of hours.I recharged the mirror from a high-power-capable USB-C charger using a high-power cable, but the mirror would only accept about 0.7 A at 5 V, or about 3.5 Watts. I also tried it with USB-A chargers and the cable enclosed with the mirror, but the charge rate was always the same. My USB charge meter showed that the battery absorbed 847mAh at 5V, so the battery capacity is less that of most modern cell phones. A simple phone charger will do fine. The recharge took about 2 hours, though, a bit longer than the 1.2 hours stated in the user guide.Like most Fancii products, the box says the mirror was designed in Canada and made in China.

I am in LOVE with Fancii mirrors. I have several but can never have enough. I have the larger Taylor compact and it’s been my ride or die for a few years. I’ve given several as gifts. When this mini Taylor popped up I knew it would be perfect for my smaller handbags. And I wasn’t wrong!As with the larger Fancii Taylor compact, this comes fully charged and ready to use out of the box. Three lighting settings and off. Open the compact, click the lighted circle to choose lighting or turn off and close compact to turn off light. One side of the mirror is regular magnification and the other is 10x magnification.This is one sleek and stylish compact. Pink with hearts. Easy to hold in one hand and open/close with one hand.I’ve used this for several days and like all other Fancii mirrors, the charge lasts a very long time. I use the larger Taylor daily and have charged it twice in two years.The compact is sturdy. I accidentally dropped it on my desk a few times and it works perfectly with not chops or cracks to the case of mirror.Charging is a breeze. It come with a USB charging cable so I can charge in my car or at my desk using my computer. It charges fast as well.Looking for a great, well lighted compact that won’t break the bank the look no further than this one!

Wow it's incredible

I really think this compact mirror is incredible. It's thin and small, yet you can recharge it. The light gets very bright, and the case is gorgeous. It is very well-built and sturdy, yet easy to open. This is a very high-quality compact with a built-in light and is about perfect in form and function. The price is slightly steep, yet I think you get what you pay for, and the quality is completely evident from the moment you pick it up. Very nice job on such an easy-to-use item, and I certainly recommend it if you need a compact mirror with a light built in. Perfect for travel!
