    Calm, gentle and very easy to layer!

    My skin is dry and reactive, a slightly exhausting combination sometimes! But Beauty of Joseon usually works wonders for me. The serum comes in a standard 30ml serum bottle with a dropper. I’m personally more of a pump person when it comes to serums because droppers can sometimes be a bit too fussy and I dread trying to pick up the last little bit when the jar is almost empty but this one is decent enough at least. The serum itself has a slight green tint to it, which I believe comes from the green tea leaf water in the formula rather than added colour.Very lightweight and watery but with a tiny bit of viscosity so it doesn’t just immediately run through your fingers and into the sink! It also seems to be completely fragrance-free. If there’s a scent in it at all, my nose certainly isn’t picking it up!This absorbs nice and quickly, it sinks in really fast but it still makes the skin feel lovely and hydrated and softer afterwards. It's not sticky at all. It layers beautifully too, I use it over essence and under cream and it doesn't pill at all. It also sits well under makeup for me. I’d still recommend giving skincare a minute to settle before foundation because that’s just generally a good idea with hydrating products but I didn’t get any separation issues from this!Green tea leaf water is the first ingredient, which is known for being soothing and antioxidant-rich, but there's also a whole bunch of hydrating ingredients in it too, notably glycerin. I also noticed it has mugwort extract and a few plant extracts that are commonly used in Korean skincare for calming redness and sensitivity. Thankfully though, it doesn’t feel overloaded with essential oils or fragrance.I really like this! It’s not flashy or dramatic but it's exactly what I want from a daily serum. I'd say it's especially good if your skin is dry or easily irritated. For the price, pretty good value, imo.

    After using the Beauty of Joseon Calming Barrier Serum for a month, I’m really happy with how my skin feels. It’s perfect for my dry, sensitive skin—super soothing and calming right away. The green tea and hyaluronic acid combo gives a lovely boost of hydration without feeling heavy or sticky. I like that it absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling smooth and comfortable throughout the day. It’s been great for calming redness and dryness, which I’ve struggled with before. The lightweight formula works well under makeup or on its own. Overall, a brilliant daily serum that keeps my skin hydrated and calm without any irritation. Definitely recommend it for anyone with sensitive or stressed skin.

    Contains many promising natural ingredients

    I’ve got atopic prone dry skin which on occasion can become inflamed and needs a little extra help. This looks like the ideal product for me, it promises to moisturise well and also contains ingredients which have calming properties. I was really excited to try this product, as I have known allergies, I always have to check the ingredients list before using anything new. The product description currently doesn’t show a full list of ingredients, if you are interested, I’ve attached a photo of the ingredients list as it appears on the outer packaging. If you take a little time to take a closer look you will see this contains many promising natural ingredients. Problem for me is it contains Macadamia nut oil. I don’t think I have a macadamia nut allergy but I do have known severe allergies to other tree nuts and it’s advisable for me to avoid all nuts. So sadly, I’m not able to put this to the full test and also want to warn other tree nut allergy suffers to avoid this product even it does look very tempting.As I’m unable to use this, I’ve passed in on to my sister but before I did so a tried a drop of it on the back of my hand. The serum isn’t thin and watery, it has a thicker consistency but doesn’t feel very oily. When I rubbed into the skin it absorbed in well and left the skin feeling very moisturised and soft and as promised a non-sticky finish (after I washed off straight away to avoid any problems). The packaging doesn’t instruct fully how to use, I imagine it’s after cleansing and to apply your usual moisturiser on top. The bottles looks like frosted glass but is in fact light weight plastic as is the pipette.This product isn't right for me but I'm still awarding 5 stars as I'm impressed by it, I just wish it were nut free.

    With the price and size of this bottle I was skeptical, it's definitely a luxury item given how small it is, but the quality is definitely there. I've used this after cleansing, before my skin dries out and found it soaks in perfectly to my skin which then felt amazing, soft and moisturised. It has a pleasant neutral scent and a slightly sticky viscous texture which helps it stick to your skin when applying with the dropper, but a minute or two after rubbing it in then it'll be invisible, no uncmfortable feeling left on your face.The price and size as I mentioned before makes this a luxury skincare item to me, but if you're serious and have the budget this is the best I've used.

    I received this product for free from Amazon Vine in exchange for my honest reviewI got this serum for my partner. She has been wanting it for a while. she said this brand is very good and expensive. Although the bottle is small the serum is of great quality. She tried it out and it was a nice experience. Her skin felt moisturised and absorbed it smoothly.It does not have a smell, or at least a strong one. The dropper helps to apply it evenly without wasting it.At the time of this review, the price is £19.55 or £17.55 with 10% discount. It is expensive but is according to my partner it is a luxurious item so, keeping that in mind, it still fells a bit overpriced.
