If you have looked at shelving, there’s no end of issues with the MDF and other composite boards. New shed and so new shelving, and with possible humidity problems, explains an all-metal choice.Delivery boxes are heavy, and lifting them was the toughest part of them. Well-packaged items include a little mallet and gloves, which is a nice touch but not needed for putting these shelves together.If your shelves aren’t aligned to the theme, they aren’t in properly.There’s also a plastic bag containing two further bags, one for end caps and the other for joining lengths.All the items are labelled and are in the instruction sheet … I’m a bloke, so I don’t use those 🙄 Okay, it took me a minute to decide which way the legs (labelled A ) go, but it’s so easy to put together. It was just me, and I’m retired, so it’s an easy one-person job that won’t take too long at all.I brought two units and instantly regretted not getting a third.The shelves are supported by formed metal braces that slot into place ( you choose the height of your shelves), and as I’ve said, if it’s not aligned, it’s you, not the manufacturer.Assembled, they look very good; the finish on them is well done, and I was surprised how simple and well thought out the shelving was. If I’m to quibble, assemble in situ as the plastic for the joining lengths isn’t locked in, so it can separate if you lift in the wrong place. So I would wish for further anchoring to secure the uprights and to the wall. This is me being picky, but my floor is flat, so no wobble or wall anchoring is required but would add to the safety.Mistakes I’ve made:- [ ] Only just got around to assembly as I thought they would be a bother.- [ ] Wish I had brought an extra unit.What was right:- [ ] Shelving isn’t sexy, but this is solid, smart-looking shelving.- [ ] Doesn’t exaggerate on support loading. Composite board would be lacking.
En métail mais vraiment robuste pour des charges lourdes
Etagères robustes pour stocker des affaires lourdes (celles en résine gondolent facilement). Très bonne qualité etmontage très facile mais il est préférable d'etre deux au début pour stabiliser le tout. Assez cher mais c'est le prix de la qualité. Fourni avec gants et petit marteau avec bout en caoutchouc très pratique pour défaire une étagère et changer son emplacement. A noter enfin provient de Tchécoslovaquie mais fabriqué en Chine...
