    Lovely lightweight body SPF!

    I've used so many products from Beauty of Joseon over the years I've lost count and their facial SPFs are some of my favourites but this is still somehow the first time I've come across one of their body sunscreens! SPF30 isn't what I'd personally use for the height of summer or if I was spending all day outdoors but for the average gloomy, overcast British day where the sun occasionally appears for three minutes before disappearing again, I think it's perfectly reasonable.The packaging is essentially the norm from Beauty of Joseon. Minimalist and clean and quite pretty. It's a cute squeezy bottle and at 150ml it's a decent size too. Body SPF disappears really quickly if you're applying enough and reapplying properly so I was quite pleased it wasn't 100ml. Or forbid, 50ml!I absolutely hate that feeling of putting body sunscreen on and then immediately feeling like your clothes are glued to you for the next hour but this is so, so not like that. It's much more lotion-like than I expected and spreads really easily. It just feels like you've applied a body lotion.This basically smells like nothing. I personally really do like the smell of sunscreen because it reminds me of summer but if you don't, you'll probably be delighted because this doesn't really have the smell of anything at all!This is a mineral sunscreen, with zinc oxide providing the UV protection. Mineral SPFs can sometimes be quite... thick and chalky but this has a lot of lightweight emollients in it so I think that helps it spread much more easily than many mineral sunscreens I've tried. It is an SPF first and foremost but there are also a few ingredients focused on keeping the skin hydrated, like panthenol. The fermented rice ingredient is part of Beauty of Joseon's branding and is mainly there to help with hydration too. You're not getting dramatic skincare results from a body SPF of course but it does make it feel a bit nicer. The overall ingredient list is actually fairly short and straightforward and I quite like it.I did notice a slight white cast immediately after application and that's on my extremely pale skin. The good news is that it faded quite quickly once fully rubbed in but I do think it's worth mentioning. If you've got deeper skin tones, I'd be a bit cautious but that's unfortunately still one of the trade-offs you sometimes see with zinc oxide-based formulas.For me and my skin, this is a really lovely body SPF. It's a really fab everyday option, imo!

    I’ve recently tried another sunscreen from Beauty of Joseon. This is one is very similar except that its a lower spf. The sunscreen is a thick white cream, similar in consistency to most body sunscreens I have used. Despite its initially rich texture, it rubs into the skin surprisingly quickly and absorbs well without leaving a noticeable white cast or greasy residue. I honestly couldn’t feel anything on my skin after it had absorbed.I am usually quite cautious after applying sunscreen to my body because I do not want residue transferring onto clothing, but I had no such concerns with this product as it seemed to absorb completely. The sunscreen is unscented, another positive as I dislike the strong smell some sunscreens can initially have.The packaging states that it is very waterproof, although that is not something I could realistically verify during my testing. The instructions do advise reapplying regularly, especially after swimming, bathing, or any activity that leaves the skin wet, which is standard advice for sunscreen products.The tube itself is quite small, so at the current price of £23 it does feel expensive. However it has the feel of a premium product, with a pleasant texture and a finish that is much more comfortable than many sunscreens I have tried.Overall, this is an easy to use sunscreen that absorbs well, leaves no noticeable residue, and feels lovely on the skin.
