Über die Kau-Etikette und die knusprige Ente
Man kennt das ja: Man möchte seinem Hund etwas Gutes tun, das über die bloße Kalorienzufuhr hinausgeht, landet dann aber oft bei Produkten, die im heimischen Wohnzimmer einen Geruch verströmen, als hätte man eine mittelalterliche Gerberei eröffnet. Bei den Kautwistern von SnackOMio ist das glücklicherweise anders. Sie duften dezent und verlangen vom Hund eine gewisse intellektuelle sowie kiefertechnische Auseinandersetzung, was man in der Fachwelt wohl „Beschäftigung“ nennt.Die Kombination aus der eher zähen Rinderhaut und dem darum gewickelten Entenfleisch ist eine strategisch kluge Entscheidung des Herstellers. Mein Hund verfällt beim Anblick dieser Twister in eine fast schon feierliche Erwartungshaltung, die jegliche Erziehung kurzzeitig vergessen lässt. Das Fleisch wirkt nicht wie lieblos aufgeklebtes Beiwerk, sondern ist fest mit dem Kau-Kern verbunden. Das verhindert, dass das Tier die Ente in Sekundenbruchteilen herunterreißt und den Rest dann beleidigt unter dem Sofa deponiert.Ein interessantes Phänomen ist die Geräuschkulisse: Das Knacken ist präsent, aber nicht so laut, dass man das Gefühl hat, neben einer Schottermaschine zu sitzen. Wer Wert auf eine gewisse Ästhetik im Leckerlibeutel legt, wird zudem das Fehlen von künstlichen Farbstoffen begrüßen – die Twister sehen tatsächlich nach dem aus, was auf der Packung steht. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen ist vielleicht die Packungsgröße; 200 Gramm verschwinden in einem Haushalt mit einem passionierten Kauer schneller, als man „Artgerechte Haltung“ buchstabieren kann. Aber solange die Qualität stimmt und der Hund danach zufrieden in einen tiefen, nach Ente duftenden Schlaf sinkt, ist das ein absolut akzeptabler Tausch.

Mi PA es anciana y aunque tiene todos los dientes fuertes no quiero darle cosas excesivamente duras y estos palitos van muy bien. Son duros pero no en extremo. Está bien y le encanta.

Solo pongo tres estrellas, no por la calidad y la aceptacion que es muy buena.Lo que me parece insensato es que anuncien snacks de pato, cuando en su composicion viene vacuno tambien.Tengo una de mis perras intolerante al vacuno y al cordero, y la pobre estuvo despues de comer un palito del supuesto pato, todo el dia con diarreas.Por favor, indiquen claramente cuando es de pato y VACUNO, gracias.
