Great interface
A fantastic multichannel interface for the money. The digital mixer software allows a huge amount of customizability if you want to be able to run FX (EQ, compression, HPF/LPF etc) before recording, or even if you wish to use the interface as an alternative live mixing desk.I use the interface for recording drums and it's well built, has a non offensive form factor so fits into racks/under laptops well with it's included legs.Preamps are good quality with good levels of gain w/ low noise.Nobs and dials are not best in class but definitely do the job. Plenty of output in the phones output. One thing to consider is the fact that there is no live metering on the hardware itself, but can be seen easily using the software.Having outputs for all the inputs allows the interface to recording full live sets, acting only as a middleman between the instruments and main mixing desk/P.A.The software, although it doesn't have that new sheen you see with other interface control softwares, is very functional and easy to navigate. The software resembles an analog mixing desk so it's very intuitive. All in all, a very good addition to a home studio or for use as a live recording device. I'm wondering why tascam do not have more hype around the brand for affordable interfaces.
Very good audio interface for a garage band
I bought this with the purpose recording a band rehearsal with all sorts of cheap mircrophones, so not expecting anything special, but I was very suprised with the quality of the recordings I got. Now I even record all my own instrument practices. I like the amount of inputs and outputs it offers, as I can send separate mixes to different headphones. My two negative comment - I wished that all the 16 channels would be XLRs with the flexibility to be line inputs, as it easy quite easy to run out of microphone channels. I also thinnk the interface software is quite terrible, for example you cannot even enlarge to make easy to see all the tiny buttons and dials... but perhaps asking too much for the amount of money I paid for it.
Alles ok.
On MacBook Air M1 2020 6.9ms roundtrip!
I am using the interface on the MacBook Air M1 2020 for live mixing and wireless in-ear monitoring. The interface sounds very good and runs absolutely stable with countless Waves plugins, a buffer of 32 samples, and a sampling rate of 96k at 6.9ms roundtrip. It’s not clear to me why one should spend more money when you can get this brilliant interface for the price. I absolutely and unreservedly recommend it.
Excellent quality
This is really a good device. I've never been completely sold on Tascam products but this one really works well. It interfaces with my Mac and Logic Pro without any issues and the sound quality is spot on. No noise, no dropouts, no pops or clicks... just good quality sound.
Bella, stabile e potente.

Quality inconsistency
This item did not meet my expectations. There was a high whining noise when using with any microphone.
Perfect for Multi-Instrumentalists!
As a beginner in the world of home recording, the Tascam US-4x4HR has completely exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something that wouldn't limit my growth, and this interface covers all my needs perfectly. Why I Love It:Versatile Inputs: The main selling point for me is the connectivity. I can now have two guitars and a piano connected to my laptop simultaneously. It makes my workflow so much smoother.Great Learning Curve: While I’m still learning the ropes of all the connections and fine-tuning the adjustments, the interface is intuitive. It’s actually been a lot of fun to explore the settings and see what this hardware can do.Solid Build & Sound: Everything feels high-quality, and the sound clarity is a massive step up from my previous setup.Final Verdict:If you are just starting out but want enough "room to grow" so you don't have to upgrade next month, I highly recommend the US-4x4HR. It’s reliable, powerful, and perfect for anyone juggling multiple instruments!
