    Ich war überrascht, wie viele Möglichkeiten der MIDI Captain bietet. Durch die Seitenfunktion hat man deutlich mehr als nur sechs Schalter zur Verfügung, weil sich pro Seite eigene Funktionen programmieren lassen. Außerdem können mehrere MIDI-Befehle gleichzeitig gesendet werden, was für komplexere Setups sehr praktisch ist.Die LED-Beleuchtung in verschiedenen Farben hilft dabei, den Überblick zu behalten. MIDI-Through funktioniert ebenfalls gut, sodass sich der Controller problemlos in eine bestehende MIDI-Kette einfügt.Die Programmierung über den PC ist nach kurzer Eingewöhnung relativ einfach. Wenn man das Prinzip einmal verstanden hat, geht das ziemlich schnell. Insgesamt ein sehr flexibler Controller mit vielen Möglichkeiten.

    Super mit Kemper Player mit Pyswitch Firmware

    Super mit Kemper Player. Der Kemper klingt super. war die Bedienung mir zu winzig.Der MC hat größere Fußschalterabstände und eine viel bessere Beleuchtung. Empfehlung: Pyswitch als Firmware verwenden (-> youtube). Das geht einfach, wenn man weiß, wie (Ich bin kein Profi.): MC-Taste 1 gedrückt halten und bein USB-Verbindung am PC einschalten. 2. Alte Firmware sichern und vom Midi Captain löschen. 3. Neue Firmware von Pyswitch herunterladen. 4. Den Inhalt von Ordner Content auf den nun leeren Captain ziehen. 5. Mit dem Pyswitch Emulator die Änderungen vornehmen. Das geht sehr komfortabel und ist sehr vielfältig. 7. Dann die zwei winzigen Dateien für das eigene Setup herunterladen (je etwa 2 kb) und in den Ordner Content werfen.

    Als MIDI Neuling war ich zunächst skeptisch ob es so funktioniert, wie ich es mir vorstelle und wünsche.Vorab: es erfüllt meine Erwartungen!Aber: Dieses Gerät ist kein plug&play, man muss sich schon etwas damit beschäftigen, sich die nötigen Infos teilweise aus den Videos und dem Manual zusammensuchen, um das Ding zu verstehen.Dafür bekommt man einen sehr hochwertigen Switch, der sich sogar mit Batterien betreiben lässt und unabhängig von apps oder speziellen Editoren ist. Man benötigt lediglich einen PC mit USB und einen Texteditor.Clever und nachhaltig.Dazu kommt ein super Kundenservice, ich hatte in weniger als 24h Antwort auf eine technische Frage.Mit ein paar Grundkenntnissen in MIDI und etwas Logik kommt man aber schnell zu Ergebnissen.Empfehlenswert!

    This is a super compact and solid product. With the Supermode on PC/Mac, you can have very detailed control over the MIDI commands. Even if it seems a bit complicated at first. The support team is extremely helpful, and I received my answer in less than a day. Highly recommended!

    Wollte den Midi- Controller eigentlich zur Schaltung meines Tonex Pedals nehmen, leider ergibt sich zwischen den Presetwechseln eine kleine hörbare Lücke, vorallem bei Wechsel zwischen Clean und High-Gain. Ich denke das liegt daran das die Taster erst relativ spät reagieren. Also es ist jetzt keine 1Sekunden Lücke nicht falsch verstehen, aber für mich ist sie hörbar. Vielleicht bin ich da aber auch etwas überempfindlich bzw anderes gewohnt da ich vom Helix mit seinen Snapshots komme wo sowas wie Latenz zwischen dem Wechsel nicht existent ist.Das Programmieren ist wirklich übermäßig kompliziert, ich hab's hinbekommen, aber für andere die in sowas nicht Fit sind bzw noch nie nen Midi Controller Programmiert haben wird's schwierig und wahrscheinlich auch sehr frustrierend werden. Ich denke beim "Großen" MIDI Captain mit 10 Schaltern dürfte dies einfacher sein da man am Gerät selber Programmieren kann, es ist schade das es bei den kleineren Varianten nicht am Gerät selber geht, auf nem Gig ohne Laptop mal eben schnell was ändern ist da nicht drinne.Für das Geld hätte ich wirklich besseres erwartet, schade

    Top Anbindung für den Camper Player

    Ich habe ihn für meinen Kemper Player gekauft. Die Anbindung ist wirklich 100-prozentig. Er überträgt sogar die Farben, und die Namen der Profiiled. Absolut top. Leider gibt es im Moment nur den Sechser zu kaufen. Darum habe ich ihn gekauft. Der große mit den Zehnertasten ist momentan leider nicht zu haben. Das Produkt ist wirklich top

    Captain Nano mit KEMPER Player

    MIDI Captain funktioniert mit dem Kemper Player problemlos (Softwareupdate KPP 3.6.) Nach Lev 2+3 Upgrade des Players sind die Effekt Blöcke manuell nicht mehr abrufbar, aber Programmwechsel funktionieren. Die PRESET Display Schrift auf dem Captain ist leider sehr klein,schlecht zu lesen, mit einem Eingriff in die Software aber zu korrigieren...siehe Foto !

    This is a great luttle midi unut.The manual is available via the qr code in the product pictures.It was pretty easy to set up though I am a novice at coding, the examples provided in the files on the unit were easy enough to manipulate. I was able to send midi CC and PC changes to my AxeFX III within a few minutes of reading the basics from the pdf.The customization is reasonably deep for anyone who wants to set dfferent functions for 2nd press (up to 4 presses for 4 different commands on 1 swotch) plus long press vairations (so you could do a number of short presses mixed with long presses) or just use it as a stomp box toggling switches on and off.It has MIDI Thru capabilities so as long as you turn on the thru option in the txt file on the unit you can have other MIDI units pass their instructions through the MINI 6 controller.I use this to cycle presets and scenes on the AxeFX and to run the looper with CC messages.The setup does require a PC, but this unit does everything advertised without too much hassle for anyone who can read a manual and isnt afraid to edit some very simple example code.

    Great Midi Foot controller for GT-1000 Core or HX Stomp

    This is a great product and a blessing for us musicians who need power midi control aka programmable control. This unit is great for compact multieffect pedals (which are midi capable) with fewer built in footswitches - such as the Boss GT-1000 Core or HX Stomp. I have succesfully used the Midi captain Mini 6 with both of these units and it works wonderfully wellThe Supermode gives a lot of midi programming control in your hands and it is very easy to program it - via a text editor. The midi programming manual that you can grab from the midi captain website is well laid out and explains all the instructions well.Threre are a number of different ways you can use this unit e.g. you can setup a very simple script to send CC#s 1 thru 6 on and off via the 6 switches. But you can get more advanced than that and even send multipe CCs for each switch press or for subsequent key presses. e.g. you can program switch 4 (bottom left) to send CC1 -127, CC2 - 127 and CC3- 0 values. each key can be programmed individually so you can even program the right 2 or left 2 switches to move presets up and down. The possibilities are endless.Some of the strengths of this unit compared to others in the market (e.g. morningstar) and also a few weaknesses / areas for improvement:Strengths:- Compact size for a pedal board. 6 switches are plenty. you probably dont need the bigger one- easy to program and create complex/advanced midi sends via a simple text editor- programmable LED colors - you can program a different color for each keystroke or a simple on/offits really helpful to have the status LEDs so that you can quickly confirm if a certain effect is on or off. Morningstar does not have this- Good build quality- runs off a standard 9V pedal power supply or batteriesareas for improvement:- introduces signal noise if daisy chaining the power with other pedals. You really need to give this one its own supply cable- On initial startup all LEDs are off - so the LEDs may not correspond to the actual state of effects in your Multi effects pedal. I dont see a way to implement this feature and I dont think any other external midi pedal does that either. This is a feature that is only feasible on built in footswitches ont he units itself.In summary a great programmable Midi controller which gives you a great amount of customizability and programming flexibility in your hands at a good price.
