    Ein spannender Bausatz, der zum Programmieren anregt

    Der Bausatz hat mir sehr gut gefallen, weil er herausfordernd und gleichzeitig durchdacht ist. Ich nutze das Modell seit einigen Tagen als Beispiel für die Computernutzung im PC Unterricht. Für die Schüler ist der Spaßfaktor dabei sehr hoch.Das Paket kommt in einer Pappkiste und ist sauber sortiert. Da ich schon mehrfach solche Robotikmodelle konstruiert habe, kann ich im Vergleich sagen, dass Freenove ein gutes Gesamtpaket geschnürt hat. Über Github stehen alle relevanten Programme zur Verfügung und sind, wenn man des Englischen mächtig ist, schnell installiert. Eine Installations-CD/DVD wird nicht mitgeliefert, was die Umwelt schont und Fehler durch veraltete Treiber/Software vermindert. Dabei geht die Installationsanleitung sinnvoller Weise wie ein Lehrbuch vor und beginnt mit kleinen Testaufbauten, bevor das eigentliche Modell angegangen wird. Wie in der Beschreibung erwähnt, müssen der Raspberry PI und die Akkus separat hinzugekauft werden. Für meinen Pi 3 B waren alle Bohrungen auf der Grundplatte passend vorhanden. Raspbian über NOOB läuft mit dem System stabil und ist in der Anleitung auch gut dokumentiert. Bis auf eine Abbildung, in der ein zu großer Schraubentyp angegeben war, waren alle Anweisungen korrekt und alle Bauteile mehr als ausreichend vorhanden.Über die Langlebigkeit des Kits kann ich bisher nur sagen, dass die zugefrästen Plexiglasplatten ungewöhnlich dick im Vergleich zu anderen Herstellern sind und daher vermutlich einiges aushalten sollten.Schwierig ist die Kabelführung, welche wie auch bei anderen Herstellern, kaum dokumentiert wird. Ich habe es bisher nicht hinbekommen, die Kabel wirklich platzsparend zu verlegen. Ein paar Kabelbinder oder oder wenigstens ein paar Tipps zur geschickten Verlegung hätte ich mir gewünscht.Für die Steuerung per WiFi ist ein Hotspot/eine Netzwerkverbindung zwingend notwendig. Dabei kann praktischer Weise auch ein mobiler Hotspot durch ein Tablet/Handy genutzt werden, sodass man nicht unbedingt auf ein vorhandenes Netzwerk angewiesen ist.Für die Fans des Programmierens lassen sich diverse Arbeitsschritte in den Pythonskripten verändern und falls nötig automatisieren. Daher bietet das Gerät für mich auch länger Spaß, abseits der Bastelei.

    Nachdem sich hier einige über den aufwändigen Aufbau beschwert haben: Es ist ein Bastler-Set.Man braucht aber auch eine gewisse IT-Affinität.Programmieren muss man nicht, die Anleitung ist klar und deutlich (aber) in Englisch formuliert.Grundsätzlich ruft man nur einen fertigen OpenSourcer-Code ab und startet einen Server.Aber natürlich ideal für Entwickler, oder jene die es noch werden wollen.Der Code kann beliebig erweitert werden. Mit den mitgelieferten Platinen und Sensoren könnte man sehr viel automatisieren oder erweitern.Bei einigen Teilen merkt man, zumindest bei mir, die billige Herstellung.Die Batteriehaltung ist schlecht gelöst. Hier braucht man ewig, bis die Batterien Kontakt haben.Leider funktionierte auch ein Servo nicht, wobei man mit zwei auskommen kann.

    Man kann immer sagen, es soll noch größer geschrieben werden, dass dies und jenes fehlt. Es ist alles allerdings beschrieben. Anleitung ist Online und kann (soll) vor dem Kauf gelesen werden! Es ist dadurch nicht das billigste Set, aber kann viel mehr, als das LEGO Roboter, dass Paar Euro billiger ist.Es werden spezielle Akkus gebraucht, ich glaube solche wie in „Akkupacks“. Die Energieversorgung mit Standard Akkus sollte kein Problem sein. Nur der Halter wäre zu ersetzen.Die Anleitung im PDF-Format ist vollkommen in Ordnung. Die SW muss heruntergeladen werden, (sie wurde zu Letzt aktualisiert, nach der Bausatz zu mir kam, alsoIch hatte echt keine Probleme mit dem Aufbau, alles schritt für schritt genau beschrieben (abgesehen davon, dass wenn ich ein Teil verwechselt haben musste ich zurück und dann weiter).Am Ende Überraschung: alles tut. Die App installiert und der „Wachhund“ kann überall fahren und in die Ecken nachschauen.Beruhigend ist auch, dass alles OpenSource ist, sollte ich dann noch Ideen zu haben: Setz zu ergänzen/erweitern oder einfach Fehler zu beheben: kein Problem.Außerdem: machen die Kinder etwas kaputt, alles sind Standardbautaille und können günstig nachgekauft werden. Wird der Roboter langweilig: es gibt Tausende Anleitungen die Bauteile anderweitig zu verwenden.

    If you want to navigate into the world of robots and microcomputing, this is where to start. You will combine using advanced technology with hands-on-the-job assembling: a mixture of a challenge and a relaxing activity. You become the creator and you will enjoy all the process. Some previous knowledge in single-board-computer is useful, but nevertheless, you can use this opportunitty to learn (it will only take some bit of extra time). The materials are excellent, precise and resistant. The instructions: perfect! every single step described in clear and detailed way, you cannot loose. Finally, the Support Service is there, just in case; do not hesitate to contact those kind guys; they are as good as the overall product. Remember that the micro computer, the rechargeable batteries and memory cards should be bought at the same time. The rest is all included, including tools.

    Als Bausatz ist es ok .Der Bausatz war schnell zusammen gebaut ,aber dafür einfach zu teuer.Es fehlen noch der Pi die Akkus (Lion) die SD Karte.Das sind dann noch Kosten die 50 EU überschreiten.Sehr schön ist das Produktbild ,das einem vorgaukelt das es eine super Anleitung sogar mit( PDF) gibt.Die Webseite hilft auch nicht weiter da diese nur ihre Produkte anzeigt und denn Download Software über Github.Es wird nicht Schritt für Schritt erklärt wie man dieses alles installiert und auf den Pi bekommt.Also wer keine Hilfe bekommt ,Finger weg !!!!!Habe eine Woche versucht alles zu installieren, alles für die Katz !!!!Totaler Fehlkauf .SunFounder bittet das selber nur mit 4 Räder super Videos bei YouTube mit Installationsanleitung .Das ist sehr vorbildlich und so macht das basteln und lernen Spass

    I think it would be much easier to buy the parts and a motor shield.For the most part the supporting document is ok and easy to follow so you will get it up and running.The camera mount is pathetic and I printed my own.

    Freenove Three-Wheel kommt ohne Aufbauanleitung. Bei Freenove auf der Homepage ist auch keine zu finden. Es ist zwar angegeben, dass die Batterien nicht mitgeliefert werden, es fehlt jedoch der Hinweis, dass es hier um besondere Batterien handelt, die es nicht imEinzelhandel gibt, die man auch erst noch mit Ladegerät bestellen muss. Schön doof, wenn man sich freut, das Smart-Car nun endlich aufbauen zu können.Im Tutorial ist der Aufbau gut beschrieben. Leider habe ich den Hinweis vermisst entweder die oder den Ultraschallsensor zu montieren. Beide zusammen behindern sich gegenseitig.Die Anleitung zur Installation der Geräte ist Schritt für Schritt beschrieben. Für Anfänger jedoch nicht geeignet, da nicht nachvollziehbar. Bei mir ist Cam defekt und konnte daher nicht erkannt werden. Nach tagelanger Suche in der Software, bin ich auf die Idee gekommen, die Cam an einem anderen Gerät anzuschließen (Dank USB) und sie zu testen, ob sie überhaupt erkannt wird. Sie ist defekt. Jezuz komme ich keinen Schritt weiter. Leider gibt es hier auch keine Möglichkeit den Verkäufer zu kontaktieren. Offenbar muss man über die Hompage des Herstellers gehen.Das ist sehr schlecht. Daher insgesamt nur drei Sterne.Nachtrag:Nachdem ich mich mit Freenove in Verbindung gesetzt habe, wurde mir schnelle Hilfe zugesichert, die ich jetzt auch bekommen habe.So sollte es sein. Das Smart Car Kit funktioniert jetzt gut. Schritt für Schritt durch das Tutorial für Aufbau und Programmierung. Insofern korrigiere ich meine Bewertung von 1 auf 5 Sterne.

    Voor ons curriculum digitale vaardigheden (middelbare school) hebben we ervoor gekozen om iets met robotica te doen in de hogere klassen. In deze fase is het leren werken met een Raspberry Pi de basis. Na wat onderzoek kwamen we uit bij de driewielige slimme carkit van Freenove. Qua functies een relatief simpele auto. Maar voldoende om studenten vertrouwd te maken met de wereld van robotica en het bedieningsgedeelte van een computer. De leerlingen (16-17 jaar) zullen de kit in paren monteren.Ons oordeel:• Een visueel duidelijke handleiding• Verstandige keuze binnen de handleiding om de componenten eerst te testen alvorens te in te bouwen.• Het ontwerp is goed doordacht• Kwaliteit van onderdelen is voldoende• Snelle reactie van de serviceafdeling per e-mail

    Produit livré en parfaite condition.Le Kit est très bien fait, tous les composants sont séparés et identifiés. Le tutoriel téléchargeable en ligne est très complet et ne laisse rien au hasard. Tout y est très bien expliqué, de l’installation de la carte Raspberry au pilotage des moteurs.La construction est amusante et ludique, c'est un mélange d'étapes de montage et de programmation qui se succèdent à merveille et rend la construction très agréable.Un fois le système monté, une interface simple permet de piloter la voiture avec deux modes de fonctionnement, caméra ou radar. Tout est mis en place pour que l'on puisse s'amuser avec le produit très facilement, mais il y a aussi les ressources pour continuer le développement et aller plus loin.J’ai eu un petit problème avec un moteur. Le SAV a été très dynamique et compréhensif. Il a tout de suite envoyé un moteur de remplacement.Pour conclure, ce produit est idéal pour découvrir l’électronique de manière ludique. Le produit est fun et son montage m’a beaucoup appris. Les vendeurs sont fiables, efficaces et à l’écoute.Je conseille vivement.

    The Freenove Smart Car is fun to build, but you will need some knowledge of how to solve some of the software problems. As with any open source design, the software modules/packages used by the Raspberry Pi move on in design so not all installations go according to the build instructions. That said, most of the software install was fairly painless.The mechanical build quality seems to be fairly high and all the parts are well designed. This, however can not be said of the three Tower Pro micro servos that are included in the kit. These are rubbish and although one servo worked correctly, the two remaining did not, in fact one was completely jammed, so is rendered useless. The other did not have the full movement range. I will try and get replacements, but to be honest, I don't rate my chances very highly. It's probably best to bite the bullet and buy three new FS90MG servos that have metal gears.The instructions are very well put together, so it makes for a fairly easy and fun build. Unfortunately I haven't finished the build as I will have to solve the servo problem first, so I will update this review when I get the kit completed.UPDATE:Well I sent a message to Freenove and received a reply the very next morning saying that they will send the replacement servos and this morning I received a message from them with the tracking information. So far I am well impressed with the service I have received from Freenove. One thing I would say to them is that to avoid any of these issues, they should include the metal geared servos instead of the plastic ones in the kit.I've changed my rating to five stars as a result of this excellent service for Freenove.I will post photographs when I have finished the build.
