    Vergleich Hercules DJ Control Starlight vs. Numark DJ2Go2

    Da ich des öfteren auch auf Privatpartys oder Veranstaltungen auflege, wo nur sehr wenig Platz für DJ Equipment zur Verfügung steht, war ich auf der Suche nach einem ultra-kompakten "Reisecontroller". Anfangs glaubte ich, die perfekte Lösung in Form des Numark DJ2Go2 gefunden zu haben. Doch rasch offenbarten sich die gravierenden Nachteile dieses Winzlings: Zuallererst fehlen sämtliche EQs, allen voran und wohl am wichtigsten für saubere Übergänge, der Bass/Low End Regler. Zwar dachte ich Anfangs, das Problem sei durch ein einfaches Re-Mapping der Level-Regler zu lösen, doch dies ist leider bis heute absolut unmöglich und wurde auch trotz zahlreicher Bitten im Serato/Numark Forum nicht nachgereicht. Stattdessen muss man sich mit dem Notbehelf begnügen, die Low-/High-Pass Filter Funktion auf die Level Regler zu mappen und durch geschicktes Positionieren des Reglers an genau der richtigen Stelle einen Wegfall des Basses zu bewirken. Klingt nicht nur kompliziert, ist es auch! Darüber hinaus lässt die Verarbeitungsqualität des DJ2Go2 zu wünschen übrig. Ich hatte nun schon 2 Exemplare in der Hand, und bei beiden waren sowohl die Jogwheels wackelig und nicht mittig geeicht, als auch die (extrem billig wirkenden) Standfüße nicht gleich hoch, was zu einem konstanten Wackeln des Geräts führt. Zudem sind die Transportknöpfe so enorm hart eingestellt, dass man wirklich kräftig drücken muss, um sie zu betätigen. Dies misslingt in stressigen Situationen häufig, was zu einem Verpassen des Einsatzes und zu schlampigen Übergängen führt.Langer Rede, kurzer Sinn: Es musste eine andere Lösung her. Nachdem ich etliche Videos des Hercules DJ Control Starlight im Internet gesehen hatte, war ich Feuer und Flamme, dieses Konkurrenzprodukt zu testen. Und siehe da: Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Der DJ Control Starlight spielt verarbeitungstechnisch in einer viel höheren Liga - was doch sehr verwunderlich ist, da Hercules jahrelang als die "Billig-Marke" am DJ Sektor verschrien war. Die Jogwheels sind viel besser in ihrem Kugellager eingefasst, haben ein schöneres/präziseres Spiel und unterstützen obendrein die Scratch-Funktion (Anmerkung: Der DJ2Go2 Touch, welcher seit wenigen Monaten als Nachfolger des Dj2go2 erhältlich ist, kann das auch). Die Lichteffekte an der Unterseite mögen Anfangs wie eine sinnlose Spielerei erscheinen, lassen sich aber so programmieren, dass damit schöne Übergänge spielend geübt werden und Cuepunkte visuell angezeigt werden können. Zu guter Letzt bietet der Starlight Bassregler für jeden Channel, welche mit einem Tastendruck in High-/Low Pass Filter umgewandelt werden können.Fazit: Aufgrund meines direkten Vergleiches steht der klare Gewinner für mich außer Frage. Der Hercules DJ Control Starlight macht genau jene Dinge richtig, die mich beim Numark Dj2go2 immer gestört haben. Die Preise sind, Rabatte und Aktionen mal außen vor, quasi identisch. Wer also nach einem ernst zu nehmenden, transportablen Controller und keinem billigen Spielzeug sucht, der sollte sich den Hercules DJ Control Starlight unbedingt zulegen!

    Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Gerät. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis Stems oder Samples lassen sich auch speichern. Leider alles aus Plastik, hat natürlich das es den Vorteil hat, sehr leicht und handlich zu sein. Ideal für meine vielen Reisen, passt gut in einen Boardtrolley oder Rucksack. Funktioniert auch mit Serato Pro. Der Fader ist sehr leichtgängig. Lustiger Zusatz sind die Lights die sich unter Serato konfigurieren oder abstellen lassen. Anschluss ist Klinke läst sich aber mit einem Adapter Cinch 3.5mm RCA erweitern eventuell auch mit einem USB Port aber beides noch nicht probiert. Kommt eventuell noch ein Update. Zur Langlebigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen

    Für den Preis top. Mehr kann man nicht erwarten. Nen paar Gigs mit Traktor schon hinter sich gebracht. Das integrierte Audiointerface kann ich nicht beurteilen, einmal Zuhause aktiviert um zu schauen ob es geht oder nicht. Ging. Wirklich schön mobil klein für den Rucksack!

    Hardware macht Spaß – aber die App...

    Für folgenden Zweck habe ich den Controller geholt: Um einfach mal zwischendurch oder am Wochenende bisschen aufzulegen, direkt am Küchentisch, Spaß haben, ohne gleich einen Pioneer aufstellen zu müssen. Und man täusche sich nicht: Es gibt genügend Profi-DJs auf Youtube, die zeigen, dass man auch diesem kleinen Ding als guter DJ eine ganze Menge rausholen kann. Ich bin kein guter DJ, aber für mich als Anfänger funktioniert es wunderbar, und reicht vollkommen für meinen Zweck. Aber. Aber!So gut die dazugehörige App ist, so nervenraufreibend ist der ständige Versuch der App, einem ein Abo anzudrehen. Das man für die Grundfunktionen überhaupt nicht braucht, zumindest funktionierten die Grundfunktionen für mich alle ohne Abo. Aber ständig wird einem das Abo angedient, was auf Dauer wirklich wirklich nervt. Daher Sterne-Abzug.

    Als erfahrener DJ finde ich, das sich Herules DJ sehr verbessert hat! Dieser kleine Controller braucht sich vor großen nicht zu verstecken! Serato Lite, DJuced, Mixxx, Cross DJ, DigiJay und Virtual DJ funktionieren mit Midi Maps! Top!

    I have had one issue with two different devices, respectively. I received a rather fast delivery with the second replacement. The device is amazing for beginners and I have used it to add entertainment value to my, online English classes and all of my adult clients as well as my stream. I can easily feel the value and is well worth it. This may sound like a commercial... Buy bring it to a party where there is no music, pull out this bad boy and you are literally the life of an unexpected party... It's great actually, if there are no malfunctions with the device. My advice - buy one, thoroughly check if every button and nob works, then rock out. Definitely one of my better purchases I have made in the last 10 years.

    I really want to give credit for how quality built this thing is. For what it is, it's amazing. Great sound, solid build quality. But this is NOT a starter DJ controller, this is a mobile dj have fun controller and for that purpose it's great. But if you are starting out, it's missing a lot of function you will want as a DJ.If you are looking for a starter controller look at the Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX2 ( https://amzn.to/3JOiGCm ) or for $150 more the DDJ-FLX4 ( https://amzn.to/41wwckk ) these are perfect starting controllers, and have all the function you will need to do gigs, or where you need decent functions but not all the cost.

    J'utilise ce contrôleur couplé à mon ordinateur portable sur lequel tourne le logiciel Mixxx.Il faudra régler dans les préférences > Matériel sonore > Sortie > Principal (1 et 2) et Casque (3 et 4).Je m’en sers pour animer des matchs de hockey sur glace, afin de faire l’animation musicale, mais aussi les jingles propres aux actions de jeu.La prise en main est relativement facile, et le branchement USB est fourni (pas besoin d'alimentation).Le système permet de travailler avec un casque et un ampli externe pour diffusion. Cela permet de préparer le morceau suivant à l’endroit exact souhaité (Cue).Le mixage physique se répercute sur le logiciel à l'écran.On peut utiliser en direct 8 samplers, utiliser des effets, des loop ou des Cue sur un morceau donné.Visuellement, des effets lumineux ajoutent du fun à l’expérience.Ce sera parfait pour des amateurs comme moi, et avec un peu d’expérience, on finit par oublier la souris.
