    Ein Steak verlangt nach einem guten Messer

    Immer wieder konnte ich hören und lesen, wie toll doch ein Steakmesser zu Kurzgebratenem sei. Allein mir fehlte der Glaube. - Schließlich probierte ich es aus, indem ich mein sehr scharfes (ohne Sägezähne) Allzweckmesser statt meines üblichen, zum Besteck gehörenden Messers (kein Billigprodukt aus Blech) benutzte. - Sofort war ich überzeugt. Das Allzweckmesser glitt wie durch Butter auch durch das Fleisch. Wirklich eine neue Erfahrung.Erkannt, gesucht. - Meine Zielsetzungen waren: Keine Sägezähne, hochwertiger Stahl und im Format passend zu üblichem Menübesteck. (Ich will ja nicht neben eine Menügabel einen Säbel legen.) Nach gründlichem Suchen und aus der Erfahrung mit meinen verwendeten Küchenmesser heraus, wählte ich schließlich WMF. Obwohl ich durchaus gründlich und priorisierend Angebote aus Solingen erwog. Messer mit unklarer Herkunft schieden gleich aus. Bei WMF kamen nur Messer mit in Deutschland geschmiedetem Spezialklingenstahl und Performance-Schliff in Frage. Damit wurde das Angebot verengt auf wenige Modelle. Ich wählte ein Steakmesser der Serie "Spitzenklasse Plus", weil dessen Länge und dessen schlanker Griff sich wohl am besten in aufgelegtes Begleitbestek integriert.Geliefert wurden 4 tadellose Messer, extrem scharf und gut verarbeitet. Es sind hochwertige Messer zu einem angemessenen Preis und mit einem hohen Anteil an "Made" in Deutschland. Ein Punkteabzug wäre realistisch gesehen nicht gerechtfertigt.Anmerkungen:Bemängelt wurde v. anderen, die Messer hätten Grate. - Meine auch, doch nur ca. 3 cm vor dem Heft (Griff) und damit praktisch völlig irrelevant. Mit einem Küchenhandtuch einmal links und einmal rechts abgezogen waren die Grate weg.Jemand schrieb, die Griffe der Messer wären nichts für große Hände. Das ist nachvollziehbar, aber kein Mangel, denn die Angabe seitens des Herstellers (12/22cm) ist klar und jeder kann anhand seiner vorhandenen Messer beurteilen, ob es passt oder nicht.

    Messer sind gut und haben einen guten Schnitt. Liegen aber weniger gut in der Hand als das Vorgängermodell.Lassen sich mit einem Schärfeisen wieder gut schärfen
