Nearly Perfect, Somehow Didn't Work With the Printer(?)

I got this for my grandfather, so he can easily plug in his MacBook without having to worry about anything. It was easy to install (after finding a spot), worked pretty much instantly and flawlessly with screen/ethernet/charging. Only headscratcher is that I just couldn't get the printer to work with it. It always stopped printing the test page after the first 10% or so. It's an older HP DeskJet that is natively supported by macOS.What happened with the printer is quite weird, it worked flawlessly for years on the old Mac mini he had before this setup. Even after multiple restarts and removals of the printer in macOS settings I just couldn't make it print a full page. However, my grandpa later called me and said he managed to print with the setup. He's not very technical so I was a bit shocked how that's possible. As it turns out he didn't turn on the HDMI screen when he tried to print and just printed from the MacBook Air itself. Somehow, that worked with this hub but not when the screen was on.I'll have to investigate what exactly happened there but my current guess is interference between HDMI/USB, perhaps the cable for the old printer needs to be swapped.Besides this weird issue that didn't happen with the Mac Mini setup, this is a capable hub that works as expected. Only question I have left is how much power does it consume when not in use.

Für mich ein echter Mehrwert, da ich häufig mobil arbeite.Ein zuverlässiger, vielseitiger und kompakter Adapter, den ich jederzeit wieder kaufen würde!

Toller Hub mit vielen Möglichkeiten . Da leider beim Mac Book Air nur noch zwei Anschlüsse verbaut sind kommt man um so einen Hub nicht herum. Es sind viele Möglichkeiten gegeben verschiedene Geräte zu nutzen. Die Verarbeitung ist super und das Gehäuse besteht aus Alu . Ich würde diesen Hub sofort wieder kaufen...

Eine tolle Kombination aus verschiedene Ports. Die Verarbeitung mit Aluminiumgehäuse wirkt hochwertig und stabil. Einziger kleiner Nachteil ist das recht lange Kabel, das je nach Setup etwas im Weg sein kann. Insgesamt aber ein sehr praktischer und vielseitiger Adapter mit gutem Preis‑Leistungs‑Verhältnis! 🚀

Ottimo prodotto, funzionale, Design compatto e ci sono alcuni dettagli che rendono BENFEI un Brand di tutto rispetto.Sono integrate due USB 2.0, una da 3.2 da 10 Gbps, HDMI 4K @ 30 Hz, PD-in 100 W , qualsiasi tipologia di porta utilizzi non devi fare alcuno sforzo per inserire o estrare una Pen Drive o HDMI cosa non da poco; non viene trascurata l'affidabilità e la stabilità dei dispositivi inseriti " nessun movimento, nessun ciondolio inappropriato o indesiderato ".Qualità visiva, tattile e funzionale in un unico prodotto a partire dalla confezione, sembra quasi un oggetto di arredamento dove nulla è lasciato al caso.
