By balanced, I mean a protected moisture barrier, balanced sebum, and pH levels. This great toner helps me achieve everything required to keep my skin looking soft, smooth, and radiant. I do like the refreshing feeling that I get after I’ve applied this toner.The toner's consistency is not too thin or too thick. I apply it with my fingertips, but you could use a cotton pad.EXPIRATION DATE: UPON OPENING!I always check for an expiration date before using, ESPECIALLY with health & beauty products. This product does not have one, which means the expiration is between 12-18 months UPON OPENING.This Toner is as advertised, and works well. It is a bit pricey, which is a huge factor when I choose products, but for a professional brand product that gives results, I realize I will have to pay a higher price.

    I have never heard of this brand before but after doing some research, it seems to be a pretty high quality and high-end product from Germany. The packaging itself seems to be well put together and very simple. It comes in a simple plastic bottle with a screw top. The bottle itself looks like it is high quality and everything else with the packaging seemed to be just fine. The product itself is nice. It is a thin liquid and it applies to my face very easily. It absorbs and dries nicely and has left my skin softer, although that may be a little bit of placebo but I really think it did get softer. I use this after I wash my face and before I moisturize and it helps to soften and remove any remaining dirt. For the price, I'm not sure if it's totally worth the high price but if you are buying products in this price range this is something to consider trying too. Overall I am very pleased with this product and I'm glad I have it.

    When I splurge on skin care, I skip La Prarie and head straight for the good doctor.This one, not surprisingly, is as good as it gets, at least for my 60 year old face. I tend to get ruddy cheeks, and of course, at my age, wrinkles and dry skin are my other issues.It evens out my skin tone, and preps for day or night cream.There is almost no scent, and zero irritation. Wish it were around 20 years ago, I would have started sooner.
