Gute und günstige Steigeisen
Ich habe nach Steigeisen für meine Tour gesucht und diese machen insgesamt einen sehr hochwertigen und robusten Eindruck. Die Verarbeitung wirkt stabil und gut durchdacht, auch für den Einsatz bei niedrigen Temperaturen. Der verwendete Manganstahl sieht sehr widerstandsfähig aus und verspricht guten Halt auf Eis und Schnee.Die Steigeisen lassen sich einfach anlegen und sitzen sicher am Schuh. Die Größenverstellung funktioniert problemlos und passt gut zu unterschiedlichen Schuhmodellen. Auch die Materialien machen einen langlebigen Eindruck und wirken für anspruchsvolle Winterbedingungen gut geeignet. Ich werde sie demnächst auf jeden Fall mal testen. Bereits jetzt aber sind sie schon eine gute Empfehlung da ich schon Erfahrung mit deutlich teureren Steigeisen machen durfte.
Sieht aus wie das doppelt so teure Original
Die Teile sind praktisch 1:1 von einer teuren Marke kopiert. Ich hoffe mal die Materialqualität ist auch so gut, denn diesen Krampen vertraut man am steilen Gletscher immerhin sein Leben an. Man rutscht da nicht einfach nur aus, man bekommt auf der Eisschicht richtig GEschwindigkeit uns saust selbst kleine Steigungen hinab. Bei den Geschwindigkeiten gehts dann nicht mehr um blaue Flecken oder Knochenbrüche, sondern um kaputte Wirbensäulen oder schwere Kopfverletzungen bis zum Tod.
Benutzung und Rost
Also für alle das neu kaufen wollen und davon kein Steigeisen haben man sollte es putzen nachdem man angezogen hat im Schnee und Eis und ja ansonsten fangt es an zu rosten
Grip für den Gletscher: 14-Zacken Manganstahl-Steigeisen im Härtetest
Wer sich im Winter in steiles Gelände oder auf Gletscher begibt, dem reichen einfache "Grödel" (Spikes für Spaziergänge) nicht mehr aus. Hier ist echtes technisches Gerät gefragt. Diese 14-Zacken-Steigeisen aus Manganstahl zielen auf Bergsteiger und Eiskletterer ab, die maximale Trittsicherheit benötigen. Ich habe mir die technische Ausstattung dieses Sicherheits-Equipments angesehen.Das Material: Manganstahl für extreme HärteDas Herzstück eines Steigeisens ist das Metall.Haltbarkeit: Hier kommt hochfester Manganstahl zum Einsatz. Dieses Material ist deutlich abriebfester als herkömmlicher Edelstahl oder Aluminium. Es bleibt auch bei Kontakt mit Fels scharf und verbiegt sich nicht unter Last.14 Zacken: Standard-Steigeisen haben oft nur 10 oder 12 Zacken. Dieses Modell bietet 14 Spitzen. Das bedeutet, diese Steigeisen passen in der Regel auf feste Bergschuhe, auch wenn diese keine speziellen automatischen Aufnahmen (Rillen an Ferse/Zehe) haben.Größenverstellung: Über den Mittelsteg aus Manganstahl lassen sich die Eisen von Größe 36 bis 46 anpassen. Die Verstellung erfolgt über ein Federblatt-System, was meist werkzeuglos und schnell machbar ist – wichtig, wenn man unterwegs nachjustieren muss.FazitDiese 14-Zacken-Steigeisen sind keine Spielzeuge für den winterlichen Gehweg, sondern ernstzunehmende Ausrüstung für anspruchsvolles Trekking, Gletscherüberquerungen und leichtes Eisklettern. Die Kombination aus robustem Manganstahl und zuverlässigen Antistoll-Platten bietet ein sehr hohes Maß an Sicherheit. In a different league to attaching those metal spring things to your shoes!
I ordered these Ice Cramps for free on Amazon Vine, in return for an honest review.I am not an ice-climber, so my review must be taken in context. If there is an experienced climber who’s review conflicts with mine, please trust them over me.I live at the end of a private cul-de-sac that is not adopted by the council. If we have snow and ice build-up the council will not help. As I am surrounded by old couples, I usually take on the job of clearing the drive. Also, as I have the beginnings of osteoporosis, I can’t afford to slip and fall whilst doing this. In the past I have used anti-slip shoe attachments – with rubber attachments and metal springs. These are ok for walking carefully across snow, but don’t hold up when you are shovelling and pulling/pushing snow. You need something a bit more serious.Serious is what these ice cramps are - they look positively medieval.They come in a handy pouch which barely stops the spikes poking through the material so you need to be a bit careful how you store them.The cramps are made of a very solid and strong manganese steel. There is an adjustable strip at the bottom so they can fit most size boots. Adjusting them to the correct length is a bit fiddly but only needs doing once. There are bright-green plastic covers protecting sections of the cramp from snow build-up. These look like the weakest component of them but, if they did get knocked off, this wouldn’t affect the integrity of the cramps.Attaching them to your boots is very simple. I wear size 9 Mammut boots and there was no problem at all putting them on. Even when the cramps are attached to my boots I can take them off and put them back on again, which is great!You need to be careful when wearing or attaching these as they are very sharp. Not knife sharp, but sharp enough to do damage.I certainly feel a lot more confident now I have these attached to my boots. We are due to have snow next week and I’m quite looking forward to getting stuck in. I don’t think I’ll ever climb a frozen waterfall in them, but you never know!
Good quality professional ice crampons
Fully adjustable ice crampons made from Manganese. Easy to fit by adjusting length and then using straps to tighten onto boot. Make sure you put the left crampon on the left boot and vice versa. They fit tightly and securely onto my hard soled walking boots. They fold down after use and then can be stored in the supplied bag. Just need some ice and snow to test them out properly but having used similar ones in the past I can think of no reason as to why these would cause any problems. Good quality product that could save your life!
