This was a hit. It does exactly what it's supposed to do and sticks to the walls great! Haven't tried the ceiling yet. I would recommend for any kid who would like this type of thing.

It was a 3-year-olds favorite Christmas gift. It is an amazing remote-control toy (Grandma wants one too).
Lots of fun for my granddaughters, and it DOES climb.
This is a remote-controlled Gecko toy, and it is so much fun! It can walk on the ground and climb walls as well.I will admit to being skeptical about the wall climbing, but this really does do it! It needs to be on flat surfaces, like painted walls, brick, and cement. As long as nothing is obstructing its way, and it can't slip off easily, this thing will climb!There are several cool features, like the eyes glow red when it's turned on, and the tail is soft and rubbery which the rest of the body is not. Also, the way it climbs is by attaching itself to a surface with a built-in suction fan located on the belly of the Gecko.The limbs move as it walks or climbs, and my grandkids love it.It is rechargeable and the USB cord IS INCLUDED. The charging port is underneath at the top of its "spine", and it arrived pre-charged. The remote takes 2 AAA batteries that ARE NOT INCLUDED. The power switch is underneath near the head, and can be clicked into two positions. The first click is for ground use, and the second click is for climbing, which is the noisier mode, and personally, I let them go outside to turn that one on. It's not earsplitting but more like a vacuum cleaner. When climbing, the battery lasts about 12-15 minutes, and it took about 45-60 minutes to charge. *NOTE: This remote-controlled toy can not go over obstacles on the ground or while climbing. Window ledges or door frames will cause it to disconnect from the surface and fall. The shell on parts of the Gecko is thin, and it may break.*This comes with a screwdriver to open the battery compartment on the remote, and instructions as well. The value for the price is certainly great, and this has been a good purchase for the grandkids, so I am recommending it!
Fun, Cute and Entertaining Remote Controlled, Rechargeable Gecko!
This wall climbing rechargeable gecko is definitely a toy that would keep kids occupied. It is fun and entertaining. The only thing that is not enjoyable is the noise of the fan. It's the function that allows it to stay 'suctioned' up against the wall and ceiling. The movement is designed to resemble a real live gecko and its eyes light up and then blink when it needs to be recharged. It is fairly lightweight, which is understandable due the features of climbing the walls and scaling the ceiling. With that being said, it seems pretty durable. So, it functions as it should, just has an added noise factor that may not be enjoyable for everyone. I still think it would make a great gift.
