Brewferm quality but niche taste

Brewferm make great homebrew products. I use them a lot and have no complaints.This particular flavour of malt was not quite what I expected however. Although it is called an English IPA, it is not too strong in alcohol, dark but also more of a boiled hop taste with a touch of dry fruit. So it is not in the same style as most modern IPAs like west coast American ones.No doubt this flavour has its fans but it was not quite what I expected and would go for a different brewferm flavour next time.One thing about brewferm malt concentrate is that it comes in cans with a paper label. You are expected to warm the can in hot water too make it easier to pour but if the label gets wet, there is white glue coming off the packaging which you really don't want to get in your brew. It is best to heyar the can but keep it totally dry somehow rather than risk the can getting wet. My solution was to immerse the can while wrapped in plastic bags but it wasn't totally effective.
