Bereits nach ungefähr 30 Sekunden werden die Werte groß, übersichtlich und leicht verständlich angezeigt, was besonders im Alltag sehr praktisch ist.Besonders positiv finde ich, dass das Gerät auch Herzrhythmusstörungen erkennen kann. Zudem lässt es sich von zwei Personen nutzen und speichert jeweils bis zu 99 Messwerte inklusive Datum und Uhrzeit. Dadurch behält man die eigenen Werte und Entwicklungen jederzeit gut im Blick. Angenehm einfache Bedienung, Werte wirken plausibel
Ich habe inzwischen bestimmt das vierte Blutdruckmessgerät im Haushalt, weil wir über die Jahre verschiedene Modelle hatten. Erst ein sehr günstiges vom Discounter, später ein älteres Beurer und zuletzt eins von Medisana. Irgendwann merkt man schon, welche Kleinigkeiten im Alltag nerven und welche nicht.Das RunStar hier habe ich vor allem wegen der breiten Manschette gekauft. Viele Geräte schreiben zwar "für größere Oberarme geeignet", sitzen dann aber trotzdem unangenehm stramm oder rollen sich leicht ein. Die Manschette hier macht tatsächlich einen besseren Eindruck als bei einigen anderen Geräten in der Preisklasse. Fester Stoff, ordentlich vernäht und nicht dieses dünne knisterige Material.Erster EindruckBeim Auspacken erstmal positiv überrascht. Das Gerät wirkt nicht billig, obwohl es preislich eher Mittelfeld ist. Display schön groß und vor allem klar lesbar, auch ohne Brille morgens halb verschlafen in der Küche. Hatte ich bei meinem alten Gerät deutlich schlechter.Die Tasche finde ich übrigens praktischer als gedacht. Klingt erstmal nebensächlich, aber wenn das Teil sonst lose in der Schublade liegt, fliegt irgendwann doch immer das Kabel oder die Manschette irgendwo rum.Messung im AlltagDie Messung selbst läuft angenehm ruhig ab. Mein altes Gerät hat die Manschette teilweise extrem aufgepumpt, fast schon unangenehm. Hier deutlich sanfter. Trotzdem dauern die Messungen nicht ewig.Ich habe die Werte mehrfach mit dem Gerät meiner Hausärztin verglichen bzw. direkt am gleichen Tag gegengecheckt. Natürlich gibt es kleine Unterschiede, aber insgesamt ziemlich nah dran. Genau das wollte ich eigentlich hören bzw sehen. Komplett identische Werte bekommt man zuhause sowieso selten.Was ich gut finde:- große Zahlen- Speicher für zwei Personen wirklich praktisch- Manschette sitzt stabil- Knöpfe reagieren ordentlich- Gerät startet schnellKleine KritikDie Sprachfunktion hätte man meiner Meinung nach weglassen können. Manche mögen das vielleicht, ich hab sie direkt deaktiviert. Außerdem ist das Netzteil nicht dabei, nur Batteriebetrieb ab Werk. War jetzt kein Drama, aber erwähnenswert.Und die Oberfläche zieht Fingerabdrücke schneller an als gedacht. Sieht man bei dem hellen Kunststoff relativ fix.Preis-LeistungFür rund 30-35 Euro finde ich es ehrlich gesagt ziemlich fair. Gerade wenn man schon billigere Geräte hatte, merkt man hier schon den Unterschied bei Manschette und Bedienung. Es ist jetzt kein High-End Medizinlabor-Gerät, aber für zuhause absolut ausreichend und bisher deutlich angenehmer als mein vorheriges Modell.Gesamtbewertung: 4,4 von 5 SternenWürde ich wieder kaufen. RunStar blood pressure monitor has a great screen and plausible readings
The RunStar upper-arm blood pressure monitor is a convincing home-use device, especially if you want something clearer than a wrist monitor.We check blood pressure quite regularly at home. We previously used a wrist monitor from a recognised brand, but wrist models are quite sensitive to position. I also recently bought an upper-arm Bluetooth monitor from a more established brand, so I was interested to compare the RunStar against that.The package is complete: monitor, arm cuff, batteries and a storage pouch. The pouch is simpler than the more structured case supplied with my other monitor, but it is still useful. The best part of the RunStar is the screen. It is large, bright and very easy to read, actually better than the display on my other device.I took comparison readings with both monitors. One example was 122/78 with pulse 68 on the RunStar, versus 121/73 with pulse 64 on my other upper-arm monitor. That is close enough for my expectations from consumer home devices, and the readings felt plausible and consistent.The main weakness is the cuff. It fits a wide range of arm sizes, which is good, but it is less easy to put on than the semi-rigid cuff on my other monitor. For an elderly person or someone with limited mobility, this could be less convenient.
