LOVE Victorinox knives! If I had to choose and could only have one knife set these would be my choice...every time. If you are looking for a great set of kitchen tools buy these!

My absolute favorite knive set. It is so well balanced and lightweight. Cuts better then my much more expensive, major brand names knives. The other things are just fantastic bonuses!
Essential home kit
This is the first and so far only set of kitchen knife in my apartment. Works perfectly except heavy chopping, very good value.
Hard to Find Red Victorinox Knife set... but Disspointing
I like Victorinox knives, having several sets ranging from single pieces to three different knife roll sets. I've also seem to have an un-natural enamor of their red and blue knifes... which are harder to find, since black is 95% of the knives offered. When I saw this set that included a Santoku red knife, I had to have it!Well, it comes in a cheap plastic display box that wasn't taped shut, and I almost cut my hand reaching in the delivery box to take it out (the knives slid under the box. Well, aside from the display box not taped shut and flimsy, I can forgive that. However, the quality of the set is disappointing outside of the Santoku. The Santoku is or normal Victorinox quality, sharp out of the box, but the blade was a little thinner than I would've thought (compared to their 8" chef's knife). It is OK. However, the other three items no so much. The serrated tomato knife is meh at best. It would've been better if it was non-serrated, since serrated knives are difficult to sharpen. The peeler feels cheap, and there are better alternatives out there. The most disappointing piece are the scissors. While it's called the classic shears... they are NOT come apart shears. These are fixed scissors... which appear to be average quality. I have a set of OXO herb shears which come apart, and they are great! OXO shears cut extremely well, and does dissemble when you get oil or small debris on the shears (I think you have to hand wash and dry though). These Victorinox shears are average size, but I would be wary of using them on anything more than cutting string, or a sheet of regular paper.
