    Excellent quality and balance in all three.Only complaint the totally unacceptable paper and plastic box where the knifes were kept in some apparently very poor storeroom conditions and eventually arrived in a despicably filthy appearance.

    Ich hatte noch nie so scharfe Messer, wie diese. Mit der richtigen Pflege wird das hoffentlich noch lange so bleiben, da sie ja nicht ganz günstig sind.

    I was drawn to this brand of knives by the review of a chef who had nothing but praise for the Victorinox Forschner knives. I wanted hand-forged knives, so I went with this set. The first time I used it, I realized that our Henckels had never been this sharp. I was cutting on a plastic mat and had to cut lightly to keep from cutting into it. When I cut up a watermelon the next day, I had to laugh to myself because I used to take my old knives and whack the watermelon to cut it, but with the Victorinox chef's knife, I was able to make a precise cut with very little pressure. I was surprised to see how easy it was to make all the cuts the same and therefore all the pieces were the same size. Very nice! I also recommend the Stellar Magnetic Knife Stand. See my review of that, too.I was pretty sure these would be well made because of the Victorinox name. I have a piece of Victorinox luggage that I've had since 2003 and it is my favorite piece. It doesn't have even one blemish or tear. Quality company. I am willing to pay for quality, but these knives are nicely priced.

    Received used products, presumably someone had previously ordered these and sent them back.Rust on one knife , food debris on another and soap residue on the blades.Amazon didn't have anymore stock , so had to return them.No compensation from Amazon and the hassle of organising return shipping.

    What a deal. These knives will last a life time and the paring knife is the best that I own now. Better than my globals. No fear of chipping a blade the weight is substantial but the ergonomics are spot on so you don't notice. Highly recommend these for the working chef on a budget.
